midnight snacking?

I get soo hungry at night - i always stay up late. even when I try to go to bed early I get soo hungry around midnight-1am. Like right now Im starving.  I try drinking water or milk maybe Im thirsty? but it never seems to work. and when I ignore it my stupid starts to hurt really bad.

 I hate eating this late a night, it cant be good for me

 

any ideas or advuce

microwave popcorn (lite) there are not many calories in it. Even just a regular pack microwave popcorn 120 cal in the whole bag.

When I am in snack mode I like to have frozen fruit (mango and grapes are the ones I love) because it keeps my mouth occupied and they're nice and sweet.....try something like that to satisfy your cravings.

I also use the 100 calorie bags of popcorn. Once I make them I put the popcorn into a big bowl because for some reason I feel like I am eating more when I am eating them out of a big bowl!

Are you eating enough during the day?

I just did the same thing last night. I always want breakfast foods at night. Last night I had 75 grams of a low-fat Mozarella cheese, and an over-easy egg. And felt so guilty - even though the calories are low - and protein high. 

For me it was a TOM/hormone thing - plus there was a thunder storm all night.

For a loooonnngg time I would make myself Eggo Waffles (Wholewheat!) with real butter and real maple syrup..... ugghhh. So good. I am not sure of the calories of that but - gosh, let me look that up...probably not a good idea.

I agree with amethystgirl,

Have your meals but always try to eat something small 100 cal or less in between. For example I would have a breakfast at 9am and lunches about 1:00pm have a 100 cal snack about 11:30am. Having small 100cal snacks with you will make it easier for you body not to go into starvation. Everybody is different this worked for me.

i dont know - sometimes I eat enough I guess but somedays I forget to eat completely

I ended up having an egg sandwich. I went to bed at 4am - was alseep by 6 and woke yo at 230pm. (my fiance had the day off soo he didnt wake me to take care od the baby)
