I think i might be pg and have some questions...HELP!!
So i think i might be pg. I'm going to stop this weekend at get a pregnancy test. I did the math and i believe i'm about 5 weeks if i am pg. I have not had that TOTM since september. I have a question though....the last time i was pregnant was 14 years ago so i don't remember a lot of things...
Is it normal to only be about 5 weeks and have to go to the bathroom basically every hour??? i actually fee i have to go again about a 1/2 hour - 40 minutes after i just went. Seems just so soon. Also, at times i feels some pains. Kind of like when you hold it for too long...how it kind of hurts down there. Is that normal? I haven't really felt to nauseus...well kind of a little but it's really minimal. I have been getting slight headaches too. More than i've ever been...is that normal too.
Any insights would be very helpful!

If your pg test comes back negative, it sounds like you may have a urinary infection? The symptoms sound like it could be? Frequent urination isn't usually a pg symptom, more a common 'problem' in later stages when the baby tends to be dancing on the bladder!
You're probably a little anxious which may be contributing to the other symptoms you're experiencing- the headaches, mild nausea etc.?
Try not to panic until you do the test. I hope it comes out the way you want it to?
Actually, frequent urination IS a symptom of early pregnancy. Something to do with hormones and increased blood flow to the uterus and kidney excretions. Frequent urination is most common during the 1st and 3rd trimester.
Thanks...i would have never even thought about it. But i started thinking about the last time i had my period and i swear it started about sept 22nd. In 15 years i have never been late...EVER!!! so this seems a little weird to me. I drink the same amount of water i ususally do but for the last week or so i feel like every hour i'm going.
irishmum i've had infections before and i remember having the feeling like i had to go but never actually "going". This time i actually have to go each time. I did think about that too. I figure i'm going to get a test and if it's negative then i'll call the Dr. to see if i have an infection
The "pains" aren't all the time. They just started 3 days ago and don't last all day or anything. They just start up randomly. I just don't remember really having any symptoms the last time i was PG (but that was 14 years ago). The only symptom i had was actual vomiting but i was like 2 months before that happened. But really no other symptoms.
There's been a couple times in the last 2 weeks i thought i was getting my period. You know, feeling cramps which i ususally get a day before i start, but then nothing. It's happened a couple times.
First things first...take that test girl and good luck! AND...have you had a current papsmear in the last year?
I am the queen of "skipping" or missing my period. Ever since I had my kiddo I have had strange periods. They would last 3 weeks, I would go 5 months without one, I would start for 2 days then stop and start a week later...etc. I was on time every time up until my mid twenties and a bundle of joy. I'm not sure how old you are but I know that it's possible you're body is wanting to start...and you're just not. And maybe it's not sure what to do since you've always been regular. You feel like you're going to and then you don't. I have felt like that since August...and no period since.
Could be stress, could be prego, could have a UTI, could be just late and skipping a month. I wish you luck in all seriousness...whatever your path chooses for you.
Headaches, cramps, needing to pee a lot and nausea can all be signs of early pregnancy. I agree with javamomma - the preggo books I have read all mention peeing a lot as one of the pregnancy symptoms.
However, all the symptoms could be signs of something else, so go do that test and see. ![]()
Well i took the test and it came back negative. Still not sure...i have no more pains. Really not sure what that was about. But still having all the rest of the symptoms. Plus i started breaking out on my face which i saw was another symptom. And my breasts are sore and sometimes tender...but not all the time. I figure i'm going to wait another week or 2 and if i still don't get my period i'm going to test again. If it's still negative then i'm going to make an appt to see what's up. I just hate waiting....it starts to make me crazy and i obsess over it :o) I believe it would either be 6 or 7 weeks since i've had my period last. I've never been that off...maybe a few days but not weeks. I can't remember if i had it the 15th of september or the 22nd of september which is why i'm not sure if i'm 6 or 7 weeks past. I just really want to know and soon
Hi Hopeful, I am in the same boat. Period is a little late, felt cramps which would usually signal start of period, but no blood. Breasts much more sore than usual for "that time of the month." I already have one child and am happy having an only child! If God felt the need to give me another one I will birth it and do my best, but right now I am so worried and stressed about this.
I really should buy a test today and see how it comes out. But my period is only two days late, I don't know if it would show up yet on a home test.
It depends what kind of test you buy. The ClearBlue digital tests are one of the most accurate, and they should tell you on the packet that you can take them up to x days before your period is due.
The cheaper tests are a lot less accurate and you will have to wait until at least the day your period is due to have a result... the longer you wait of course the more likely to get a positive reading if you are pregnant.
I stopped by K-Mart yesterday and bought the Answer pregnancy test. It came out clearly negative which was what I had been hoping for. Of course if I am dealing with a delayed implantation there's still a chance I am pregnant. The Answer test claims it can detect pregnancy as early as five days before your period is due.
Dani, how are you doing? And this is probably a dumb question, but what result are you hoping for?
Well i wasn't planning on getting pregnant just yet. I really wanted to lose at least 50lbs before trying but i would love for it to be positive!!!! I've wanted a baby for the last 3 years. I'll be honest....it's all i think about. I haven't taken another test since the last one. I wanted to give it another week or 2 to see if my period comes. But as of right now nothing...and i've been reading that when you are PG your stomach can feel kind of bloated and i can tell you I DO....the jeans i have on today are always loose. And i've lost 15 lbs recently so they shouldn't feel tight but they kind of do and did last week too. Today is worse. They aren't tight tight but when you sit its very uncomfortable. Does that make sense?? And my breast are sore...it sounds funny but they feel like they are growing LOL. I'm trying to wait til late next week to take another test but it's getting harder and harder. I just really want to know. But i decided since i dont know i was going to take prenatal vitamins anyway. I was reading different things online and everything says it's a good idea. So i figured i should. Plus the extra vitamins are good for me anyway.
