Wikipedia is a good starting point. Developed for the people, by the people this site is an evolving source of information and waiting to be refined for the latest in correct and updated information. In short, a very detailed start to learn about your head.

Wikipedia isn't a good starting point. It's too easily modify-able by others so it's not exactly going to be accurate. I'd start with something like WebMD or some other equally reputable medical site. Good luck!

I am not suggesting that wikipedia is a great site, just that it is a good starting point. It isn't any more or less reliable than the information on CC (is an evolving source of information and waiting to be refined for the latest in correct and updated information). The site also has reduced advertising bias. Use it as a starting point... grow your knowledge from there. Out of 6,280,000 results, both Google and Google Canada have Wikipedia as the number one non-sponsored result for 'migraines'. That doesn't make the Wiki any more reputable or even qualified as a source of information, but it does make it to the top of the list for a reason. WebMD ranks 7th on the results search of Google and doesn't rank in the first page of Google Canada site. That doesn't mean that WebMD is not a reputable medical site, just that it doesn't rank high on the results list and might not get visited by a person looking for information on migraines.

To the point this is why I created this thread. Not for a discussion on the benefit or lack thereof  of Wikipedia, but to provide a source of information on the topic of Migraines whether that be in the form of web address or book title or some other forum.

So, thank you for giving us: WebMD

Now we have three sources to start: (as I will be adding another to the mix)

Who has another?

Wikipedia is actually a very inaccurate website especially for medical information. I am a paramedic and besides chatting with doctors I know, I usually turn to the Mayo clinic online. It is run by a group of doctors and the information can be trusted.
