Hello all ![]()
I’ve been wondering if the side effects I get from my migraines are normal. I’ve only had migraines for just over 2 years. The headaches and nausea are awful, but I also get ‘fuzzy headed’ and I’m not able to understand things well, I wander and I’m rather dizzy and sometimes fall over. I feel like I’m onboard a ship and everything is moving around me and I sway and run into things. I forget conversations and I’m often not able to figure out how to do a simple task without concentrating on it. All in all it is as if I’m drunk, and this is without the effects of the medicine. Oh I forgot about the extreme fatigue, difficulty with noises and lights? As soon as the headache is gone I have these side effects and extreme fatigue from a couple of hours to a couple of days afterward. As far as I know there is no relief for the side effects. I’ve got pills and other drugs for the headache and the nausea, the rest I just have to wait for it to go away, Do any of you know of anything I can do about the side-effects?![]()
yep, those are all normal side effects. The last migraine I had I couldnt even remember my daughters names. I told the doctor in the ER room and he said that was normal. He also gave me a perscription that helps you "stay calm" when you get a headache. What medicine are you taking for yours?
I have a really great neurologist who specializes only in migraines. Right now I’m on 3 preventative meds: lyrica, pamelor and buspar. The buspar is new and he is hoping that I can we weaned off the lyrica or pamelor if it is effective. I still have not tapered up to the max dose. I also have foirocet and butorphanol for the headache pain. I can work while talking the fioricet but if I’m forsed to stay home and in bed I take the butorphanol which is must stronger, works incredibly fast (15 min) but leaves me to drugged to do much but sleep.
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
