600-mile CHALLENGE (Walk)

Quote  |  Reply

Would anyone like to try walking an extra 600-miles with me?

  • Each extra 10th of a mile counts!
    • I am not including my regular cardio/workout/steps, etc.  This is over and above what I do everyday.
  • There is NO TIME LIMIT.
    • I am an avid walker so my finish date will be in about 2-months.  It's a good idea for you to set a goal date as well.

To start, just calculate the distance around your block (or anywhere you wish) or even hit a high-school track, then record your progress here and in your journal.

All this challenge costs is 15-20 minutes per mile.  Use this time to get your thoughts together, make plans, talk to a friend, walk a dog from a shelter, etc.

It's FREE exercise!

God bless you and keep you healthy! -Lyn

A very nice challenge.  I just checked my log.  I'm just over 600 miles since June 1.

600 miles walking... in two months?

that would be about 10 miles a day... and say you average 3-4 miles per hour, you'd have to be walking at least 2.5-3.5 hours everyday

I'm not saying it's impossible... but that's VERY time consuming

even running 600 miles in 2 months would be hard to do... such high impact activity would demand a few days of rest per week, especially if you were doing 10 miles per day
