Does milk cause acne?

There may be a correlation between cow's milk and acne, but it is not a proven fact. A few epidemiological studies have shown that heavy milk drinkers have more acne than non-milk drinkers and that teenage girls and boys who drink the most milk have the worst acne. But many teens who drink a lot of milk do not have acne and the studies are criticized for not taking other factors into account. If milk does cause acne, the triggering factor is probably hormonal, related either to hormones secreted by the humans or by the cows. Read more about acne and milk at About.com.
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
