Milk in my coffee
Yes it does. Unless its more than a tiny splash id suggest adding it to your food log.
I always count the calories. But I can put up to 2 cups of milk in my coffee! I really really wanted it to count for calcium.
why wouldn't it? Milk is not calorie free. I usually measure out a tablespoon or so.
I guess it would, but you'd have to add up how much you put ... I say you should definitely count the calories though, I only put 2 tbsp of skim milk in my coffee but I still count them because not counting those things can really add up ... ! (For example, not counting the butter/oil you cooked your eggs in and so on)
I never count the calories in the milk I drink throughout the day except for the one cup in my cereal in the morning. I don't want to end up cutting that out if it seems like my calories are to high. How much could it hurt to drink a few unaccounted for ounces of skim or 1% per day anyway. I could see counting them if you drank whole milk. There is a big difference in skimping on counting skim milk as opposed to very fatty things like whole milk and butter.
Like I said, I always count the calories. today was a high milk day and I downed 2.5 cups in my coffee and on my oatmeal. Even though i use 2% thats still about 300 calories.
I just wanted to be sure that there wasn't some nutritional chemistry going on and the calcium would still count even though it is in java. :)
Ive started measuring my milk out in the mornings into a small cup with ml scale on the side. That way at the end of the day i can see exactly how all the little bits of milk add up.
I also went as far as switching to soya milk too because IMO it doesnt taste much different and it cuts those calories in half.
