I'm saddended to find out I cannot consume soy anymore.  So anyways, this morning I had to use gross 2% milk, because that's all mother wants, and buys.  Anyways I'm totally against drinking cow milk, so I'm not going to drink that anymore.  I'll just use water in my oatmeal.

But I was searching on the internet on the dangers of cow milk and came across this page:

 http://www.notmilk.com/.

Just wondering if you guys mind taking a look at what's on this page and share your opinions or concerns or whatever.

What milk do you drink?  I know there is cow, goat, sheep, soy, almond, rice and oat.  Which is the healthier (in your opinion, if healthy)?

hmmm... i use hemp seed, but hemp milk?dunno... its a great source of healthy fats (best healthy fats ratio). My faves: 1% milk, rice milk, and oat milk, it has a great caramel taste:)

Just googled Kumis.  Milk with 2% of alcohol....interesting

Well actually not quite. Traditional Kumis is made by slightly fermenting Mares milk. It does make it slightly alcoholic anywhere from .7 to 2%. Since Mares milk is expensive, commercially it is made from cows milk, but the 2% is max. I used to the Mares milk with very low alcohol.

Interesting never have heard of it before.. :)

Yes, I have heard of oat milk, but I've never seen it around...maybe I should try looking harder...

The one that comes from the animal that eats the best diet is the healthiest.

I grew up on 2% cow milk.  When I started at CC I was using instant skim milk.  I really only drink it straight with something really carby (muffin, doughnut, pancakes/waffles, cookies).  Otherwise I use it on cereal.  I live with a roommate and we share the milk so this last shopping trip I got 1% as a compromise.  I think cow's milk is the way to go.  Rice milk is too sweet and I don't think I've had soy, but my mom has been buying it for my dad (who is ill and needs calories) and she said that the best tasting one is the chocolate soy milk and that is not good for cereal.

That website is a load of hoo-hah.  I clicked on one link and it said that people who eat animal products are putting unclean things into their body...that is either a plug for organic or cannibalism. Personally I don't care.  We are all born to die, who cares how we go?

Oh and I am comfortable drinking any level of fat cow milk.  I also had goat's milk once, straight from the goat!  Didn't expect it to be so warm lol.

lol ahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!

hemp milk, in my experience, tastes really really weird. Almond milk does not taste like almonds; it's the closest to what I'd imagine milk would taste like (I've never actually drunk milk before). I guess since I haven't had the real thing my opinion isn't the most valuable, but...hope it helps hehe!

LMBO :D

Very true... I just hope I go in a somewhat not painful manner :P

Well I guess that pertains to animal milk, but what about almond, rice, soy or oat?
