What I Miss Most About the '80s

On another thread, I was just saying how happy I am that Transformers are cool again. I very fondly remember my Transformers toys when I was young :)

I also VERY fondly remember the old Atari Game System.

What do you miss most about the 80s?

that I could solve a rubik's cube in less than 2 minutes...

now I can't solve them at all!

Corny '80's highschool movies...Fast Times, Weird Science, etc. Its like an 80's timecapsule.

You so did not call me freaky again!  :D  You know, I have in-laws that collect dead animals and hang them on their walls...  (Taxidermy, of course, nothing rotting or smelly.)  I think my hobby is much better.

Don't feel bad Jen I collect Peanuts (Snoopy) stuff.  But I'm not as organized as you are.

A lot of others, but those are just off the top of my head....  geez...I'm feeling kind of old now.....

I miss the old payphones on the corner of town to call mom and dad from when i was going to be late or was lying through my teeth where exactly i was. I miss penny candy. I miss parachute pants. I miss my first bf in gradeschool who thought he was all cool cause he was wearing one glove just like michael jackson. I miss the wild madonna hairdoo's......ah the endless misses I have.

I miss everything about the 80's!  I also loved the Atari Game system....my first game system was the tennis, pong thingy.  :)

I especially miss the music.  I knew all the words to all the songs and I thought I was the coolest person on the earth for knowing them.   :)

I also love the old scary shows/movies....twilight zone, Alfred H., etc.
