Missing Son, Prayers Please**-- BODY FOUND--**

EDIT: Chirs' body was found 19 months after he went missing. It is evident that he had gone for a drive that night and went off the road in the canyon.

I'm crying as I'm typing, so please overlook all typos...I'm really not all here.

Our son, who turned 18 last month, has been missing now for 76 hours. He went to work Monday, left work and no one has heard from him nor seen him since. He wasn't having any problems with us, Sunday we all were together and had a great time. He wasn't having any problems with his girlfriend. He did have a bad day at work and we are guessing he went off on a drive to cool down, but we really don't know. He didn't say anything to anybody about where he was going. He was in a hurry to get to work that day and left his wallet home. So he has no money on him nor any access to money. We were able to get into his bank account today and there hasn't been any unusual activity in the last month. We have called everyone he knows and no one knows anything. His girlfriend has called everyone she can think of too.

This is so out of character for him. He has never done anything like this before.

The police are involved and doing all they can. Two different aerial searches were done today and tomorrow there is a ground search going on with volunteers and the police department. He has been listed as a missing person in all 50 states along with a description of his blazer. The police department made up fliers for us to put around town. The top of it says "Missing Person, Suspicious Circumstances".

This is so unreal. This is something that happens on TV, not in real life. The roller coaster of emotions is beyond imagination. The possibilities of what has happened to him and where he might be are endless. To the East of us is a canyon, to the West is desert hills. He could be anywhere. Not knowing anything is the worst.

My husband and our other children are hitting their limits too. Our home is crazy is an understatement. We have had lots of friends and family offer love and support. Meals have been brought in for three days. Our phones are ringing off the hook with well wishers and everyone wondering what they can do.

I'm sorry for going on and on, I just want to cover all the bases, but I'm sure I've missed some things.

Prayers are definitely welcome.

Mostly I'm still in shock. I'm not sure I'll be back on the site for a while. I will post as soon as we know anything.

Oh my god, tracker, I thought the same thing about his mom. Something just seems weird. Especially the picture she chose to put up.

It really bothers me that his "real" mother is doing things and not telling the rest of the family. Shouldn't she be working WITH you and not against you?

I don't see the point in her creating that page.

It's possible she set it up to catch the attention of someone that might know something.  Just to see who would (or wouldn't) contact him.  But that doesn't seem to make sense.

If you look closely at the picture, it looks like Chris took it of himself.  That probably doesn't mean anything... just an observation.  It just seems like an odd picture to choose.  Why post a picture at all if it hides his face?  Unless you want his face to be hidden.  Is there a psychologist in the house?

I would expect that Chris's birth mother is under as much stress as Shannon. She may be sleep-deprived, worried sick, concerned because she's so far away from where Chris was last seen, and so on. Perfect communication would be lovely, but might be too much to expect right now.

She may have been working something out in her head, trying to see how difficult it would be to create a MySpace page, for example, and not given a lot of thought to which picture she used. (I know when I'm working on something to see whether/how I can do something, I might grab something -- a picture, text, data -- that is completely unrelated to what I'm trying to work out.)

Shannon, do you mind sharing how much one of the magnetic car signs is?

CEDAR CITY, Utrecht  is the location listed on the My Space page. When I did a search on that, as it struck me that it might be something. Looking around I found Utrecht on several Utah profiles. Any idea what the association is? It just seems out of place to me. What is Utrecht's association with Utah's Youth on MySpace?

How about Netherlands?  Any connection?  (HA!  Now, I know I'm grasping at straws... I better just go light a candle, and say a prayer.)

We are pretty sure that his real mom is not hiding him out. She was here the first weekend he was missing to help with search efforts. I think if she did know where he was she would tell us he was fine and just to leave him alone. She isn't the best at communication. She is very right brained and I am very left, so we clash a lot. I still don't understand why she crated the page. We know the picture was taken this summer when Chris was with her, I too thought it was an odd picture to choose.

I have no idea about the Utrecht. I'll try to remember to ask our other teenage son about it to see if he knows anything.

I'm willing to go to the Netherlands to look. When they told us he was listed as a missing person in all 50 states I tried to convince Dave that we needed to go look for him in Hawaii!

I'll check on the magnetic sign price. I remember that bumper sticker size ones were $2, but I don't remember how much the bigger ones were.

We have had a couple of psychics contact us through the website. It is interesting to listen to what they have to say. One thinks he is just fine and when he is ready he will let us know where he is. The other thinks he is in New Mexico and is ok now, but wont be for long. She said we need to find him soon. So if I get to vote again I vote for the first lady, I'm not sure how we would find him in NM. I told Dave it wouldn't hurt to call county sheriffs offices in NM to make sure they were aware of our search.

I am still mostly brain dead. At work the other day I was going over some reports and kept finding mistakes I'd made. It is so hard to function without a brain. I hope is comes back soon, I'm sure it is wherever Chris is and I wont get it back until he comes home too.

I'm so sorry! it must be awful not knowing where he is!
I'm only a teenager myself, and certainly not a mother so i have absolutely no idea how horrible this must truely be.

I don't really have much to say today. It's crazy how fast time is going by now. Wow it's another Friday already.

I'm trying to get back to old routines, like running and even counting calories, but everything is harder then it sounds. The simplest things are such big ordeals. I know running would help and I really need to get back to it. I'm a morning runner and mornings are so hard, getting our of bed is a chore on its own. Also it's getting too cold here in the morning to run outside, so I'll have to go to the gym and I don't like that as much.
