Missing Son, Prayers Please**-- BODY FOUND--**

EDIT: Chirs' body was found 19 months after he went missing. It is evident that he had gone for a drive that night and went off the road in the canyon.

I'm crying as I'm typing, so please overlook all typos...I'm really not all here.

Our son, who turned 18 last month, has been missing now for 76 hours. He went to work Monday, left work and no one has heard from him nor seen him since. He wasn't having any problems with us, Sunday we all were together and had a great time. He wasn't having any problems with his girlfriend. He did have a bad day at work and we are guessing he went off on a drive to cool down, but we really don't know. He didn't say anything to anybody about where he was going. He was in a hurry to get to work that day and left his wallet home. So he has no money on him nor any access to money. We were able to get into his bank account today and there hasn't been any unusual activity in the last month. We have called everyone he knows and no one knows anything. His girlfriend has called everyone she can think of too.

This is so out of character for him. He has never done anything like this before.

The police are involved and doing all they can. Two different aerial searches were done today and tomorrow there is a ground search going on with volunteers and the police department. He has been listed as a missing person in all 50 states along with a description of his blazer. The police department made up fliers for us to put around town. The top of it says "Missing Person, Suspicious Circumstances".

This is so unreal. This is something that happens on TV, not in real life. The roller coaster of emotions is beyond imagination. The possibilities of what has happened to him and where he might be are endless. To the East of us is a canyon, to the West is desert hills. He could be anywhere. Not knowing anything is the worst.

My husband and our other children are hitting their limits too. Our home is crazy is an understatement. We have had lots of friends and family offer love and support. Meals have been brought in for three days. Our phones are ringing off the hook with well wishers and everyone wondering what they can do.

I'm sorry for going on and on, I just want to cover all the bases, but I'm sure I've missed some things.

Prayers are definitely welcome.

Mostly I'm still in shock. I'm not sure I'll be back on the site for a while. I will post as soon as we know anything.

I keep watching this thread hoping there's some good news. I'm not even sure what to say except your strength is so admirable. You, Chris, your family are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know that you share my beliefs. Please know that we were put on this earth to have challenges and grow from them. It does not seem fair, and hopefully when it's all said and done we can look back and see what we gained. No matter where Chris is, he is being watched - the Lord is with him. There is no doubt.

 

Dear Lord,

I bring this issue to prayer again. Ask and ye shall receive. Only in Your time. I know these things. and in my human mind it is taking too long. Please, Please, Be with Chris. Help to guide him home. Keep him safe in YOUR arms.

His family is breaking. they are at Your mercy. Please Lord keep them in Your arms and give them a shoulder to cry on. Carry them through. Give them the strength they didn't know they had.

How terrible  I am so sorry and am praying for his quick return.

This morning when we were getting up Dave said "here we start another week". It has now been 8 weeks since Chris went missing. Time is going by so fast now, everytime we turn around another week has gone by.

This week will be busy getting ready for the breakfast we are having on Saturday. We need to get everything together, food, dishes, cooks, and we need to make sure all the media know what we are doing. We have fliers to put up around town and posters to make for it. Busy weeks usually are better weeks for us. It is hard to just sit and wait, but when we feel like we are doing something, that helps.

The only leads we have right now are from psychics, so nothing solid. Two called us over the weekend with totally different stories. One said he is dead and buried in NV and the other said he is fine and alive and just trying to figure life out. It would be nice to have some leads that we could do something with.

I did talk to the mother of the missing girl. She is pretty sure her daughter is a run-away. It was a quick talk, but we went over what each other has done.

Every time I see this thread pop up to the top I get excited, hoping for some better news.  My candles are always lit for you and your family, Shannon -- we're keeping the faith along with you.

I wish I had more to say. Not much is going on. I just got off the phone with the police to see how things were going on their end. There is one more phone number that we are trying to hunt down and it looks like Chris may have had more then one myspace page, so we are looking into getting into that.

Today my mom and I went to buy stuff for the breakfast. Some stuff is being donated to us by companies and individuals here in town. I need to go finish hanging up fliers today. I hope we have a good turn out.

Thank you again for your willingness to have callus knees for us. Thank you for your candles and well wishes. Thank you caring about me and thank you for caring about Chris.
