Missing Son, Prayers Please**-- BODY FOUND--**

EDIT: Chirs' body was found 19 months after he went missing. It is evident that he had gone for a drive that night and went off the road in the canyon.

I'm crying as I'm typing, so please overlook all typos...I'm really not all here.

Our son, who turned 18 last month, has been missing now for 76 hours. He went to work Monday, left work and no one has heard from him nor seen him since. He wasn't having any problems with us, Sunday we all were together and had a great time. He wasn't having any problems with his girlfriend. He did have a bad day at work and we are guessing he went off on a drive to cool down, but we really don't know. He didn't say anything to anybody about where he was going. He was in a hurry to get to work that day and left his wallet home. So he has no money on him nor any access to money. We were able to get into his bank account today and there hasn't been any unusual activity in the last month. We have called everyone he knows and no one knows anything. His girlfriend has called everyone she can think of too.

This is so out of character for him. He has never done anything like this before.

The police are involved and doing all they can. Two different aerial searches were done today and tomorrow there is a ground search going on with volunteers and the police department. He has been listed as a missing person in all 50 states along with a description of his blazer. The police department made up fliers for us to put around town. The top of it says "Missing Person, Suspicious Circumstances".

This is so unreal. This is something that happens on TV, not in real life. The roller coaster of emotions is beyond imagination. The possibilities of what has happened to him and where he might be are endless. To the East of us is a canyon, to the West is desert hills. He could be anywhere. Not knowing anything is the worst.

My husband and our other children are hitting their limits too. Our home is crazy is an understatement. We have had lots of friends and family offer love and support. Meals have been brought in for three days. Our phones are ringing off the hook with well wishers and everyone wondering what they can do.

I'm sorry for going on and on, I just want to cover all the bases, but I'm sure I've missed some things.

Prayers are definitely welcome.

Mostly I'm still in shock. I'm not sure I'll be back on the site for a while. I will post as soon as we know anything.

How do I submit a case to AMW?
Cases to be profiled on AMW are carefully chosen from the hundreds of requests we receive every week. Due to the high volume of requests we often need to make tough decisions when it comes to choosing which cases to profile. We make every attempt to cover cases from all parts of the country and all type of crimes. Our ultimate goal is to give a voice to the maximum number of victims possible and help find missing children and bring fugitives to justice.

The "Blue Eyed" Chris doesn't look 34 and certainly doesn't look 44.  Ok, Shannon said it wasn't him, and she would know better than any of us... But it does look suspiciously close.  (Note the comment:  "9 more weeks")

I think in regard to the one known myspace account, the "SO UR MOVING WITH HER!" comment was in regard to his girlfriend.  I seem to remember they had just moved in together shortly before he went missing.

Still sending lots of prayers your way Shannon.  May today be the day that Chris comes home.

IF referring to my post......I'm not sure that his location did change. I just know that there was a change, any change made on the day he went missing. The only people who could have made a change would be himself or someone logged into his account.

I just lit another candle for Chris

On the Today Show this morning there was some people in the crowd with a poster of a missing person. Meredith from the Today Show went over to them and they turned the camera on the poster with the picture and let the person holding the poster say who they were looking for, where last seen, when disappeared, etc. Was a short time, but I'm sure LOTS of people saw it.

Anyone here close to the Today Show?

Might have a look at them. I know searching has been done by 4 wheelers and on foot, this organization is a non for profit organization out of Texas that search on horseback.

And I know that you aren't real big on physics. However, I have saw investigation shows/forensic shows where they have been right(unless the facts in the show are altered) but the types of shows they are, I don't think they would be. I just wanted to post to say that I had the most beautiful dream last night about Chris.  I dreamed that he came home and you were reunited.  As strange as this is, the dream was from your point of view.  You were so happy and everything was all right.  May this be the day that he comes back.  I still have hope and pray every night.

I am one that plays the out of sight out of mind game with myself. If I ignore it - it will go away. I can feel myself doing that with this situation. I'm having a hard time logging on because then I have to admit this is going on in my life. I know ignoring it wont really help anything, but it is a nice get away for a while. Every time I log in and read your wonderful posts it fills me with so much hope and love. I know coming here is a good thing for me. Sometimes it is just hard.

Three weeks ago two gentlemen from just South of us were driving here and never showed up. They are still missing. They have not used their cell phones nor touched their bank accounts since they went missing. I'm guessing they are a few years older then Chris is, mid twenties maybe. They are from two different towns so two different police departments are handling their case. Yesterday I spoke to one of the officers and asked him to pass my phone number along to the other department and both sets of parents. I asked him to contact our police department to go over the cased together and see if they could be connected.

It probably wouldn't hurt to try AMW again. Maybe if we tied all three missing persons together it would have more weight. I'll talk to our Chief about it (he is the one who tried to do it before). The reference to moving with her was about his girlfriend. We know he didn't join the military. We are still looking into Rainbow Family type groups, especially in the Northern New Mexico area.

Thank you again for all you are doing. It continues to amaze me how willing you all are to support us with time and prayers and candles. It is comforting to know you are all using what resources you have to help us find our son. Thank you, and may you all be blessed for your willingness to serve.

Shannon thank you for your note. That being said, dont think that anyone here expects you to thank us one by one. We are here because we are genuinely concerned for Chris and your family. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we come here  to offer support with the absolute purest hopes that one day this thread will no longer be the focus, but rather a thread of congratulations and relief that your nightmare is over will take its place. You owe us nothing. We are here for you. If you need to back off a bit, just let us know that you will only be posting once or twice a week so that we dont worry. We will absolutely understand. BUT we wont stop sending postive thoughts, lighting candles and praying for Chris and your family.

Sometimes, stepping back gives us room to move forward.

Dear Lord, as we all accept that this is our new normal, for now. Please continue to give the family strength as they are carrying on. The days are long and the hearts are week. Thank you for the Loving and wonderful people here that are helping in any way possible to keep Shannon and the family filled with Hope, Love, and strength.
