Missing Son, Prayers Please**-- BODY FOUND--**

EDIT: Chirs' body was found 19 months after he went missing. It is evident that he had gone for a drive that night and went off the road in the canyon.

I'm crying as I'm typing, so please overlook all typos...I'm really not all here.

Our son, who turned 18 last month, has been missing now for 76 hours. He went to work Monday, left work and no one has heard from him nor seen him since. He wasn't having any problems with us, Sunday we all were together and had a great time. He wasn't having any problems with his girlfriend. He did have a bad day at work and we are guessing he went off on a drive to cool down, but we really don't know. He didn't say anything to anybody about where he was going. He was in a hurry to get to work that day and left his wallet home. So he has no money on him nor any access to money. We were able to get into his bank account today and there hasn't been any unusual activity in the last month. We have called everyone he knows and no one knows anything. His girlfriend has called everyone she can think of too.

This is so out of character for him. He has never done anything like this before.

The police are involved and doing all they can. Two different aerial searches were done today and tomorrow there is a ground search going on with volunteers and the police department. He has been listed as a missing person in all 50 states along with a description of his blazer. The police department made up fliers for us to put around town. The top of it says "Missing Person, Suspicious Circumstances".

This is so unreal. This is something that happens on TV, not in real life. The roller coaster of emotions is beyond imagination. The possibilities of what has happened to him and where he might be are endless. To the East of us is a canyon, to the West is desert hills. He could be anywhere. Not knowing anything is the worst.

My husband and our other children are hitting their limits too. Our home is crazy is an understatement. We have had lots of friends and family offer love and support. Meals have been brought in for three days. Our phones are ringing off the hook with well wishers and everyone wondering what they can do.

I'm sorry for going on and on, I just want to cover all the bases, but I'm sure I've missed some things.

Prayers are definitely welcome.

Mostly I'm still in shock. I'm not sure I'll be back on the site for a while. I will post as soon as we know anything.

I just read this and don't know how credible it is but it gives me hope as maybe his absence can be explained. I am so hoping it's the case for the family, friends and loved ones. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh man, that article does give a glimmer of hope, but it's scary too!  What happened to Chris when he was 7?  Has he had these types of side effects before?  I hope he's ok...  I have been praying.

I also just seen this, I am so sorry for your pain. You are definitly in my prayers, and think about you through out the day my heartaches for you. 

Oh Shannon, I'm so sorry.  My heart goes out to you, and you and your family will be in my prayers. 

I pray that God may guide your son home, and keep him safe in the meantime.

Thank you Lord for this wonderful news of hope that you have given to this family. Please continue to guide the investigaters as they help lead us in the right direction to find this lovely young man. Hold him safe in your arms until he is safe in his parents arms. I ask that you still be with this mom and dad as they are broken hearted searching for him. Hold them as they shed tears of sorrow and of joy. Please bring Chris home safe to his family that is waiting with open arms. I bring all these things to you in Jesus name

I have a computer again!

Thank you all for your love and support and prayers. I really love to come here and feel the support from all of you!

The media is our best friend and our worst enemy. Some things they are quoting are from who knows where! No we don't think Chris' head injury has anything to do with this, no he has never been called immature by us or his friends or the police chief, and the list goes on...

When he was 7 he was on his bike and was hit by a truck. He was in Primary Children?s Hospital for 6 weeks recovering. When he left they did not say he would have future problems or that he had a brain injury. We have never seen anything in Chris' past that would make us believe he is having problems from that.

Also some news stations & papers are reporting that the search has been called off, it has not. Search and Rescue are planning another search this Saturday for the Cedar Mountain area, the "C" area mostly. More aerial searches have gone on, yesterday my husband was in a plane with a friend.

The Park City sighting is hopeful. Chris' girlfriend, Sasha, went to see the video tape of the SUV, but the outside cameras weren't working, so nothing was caught on tape. There was someone inside that she said she doesn't believe was him, but because the shots are so unclear she wasn't positive. Mostly because of the clothes and the mannerisms of the person she said she didn't think it was Chris.

We have some other leads that may put him in the Northern Utah area, nothing concrete, but some hopefuls none the less. We are praying they turn something up. If the bottom falls out of this you are going to have to commit me, I don't think I can handle one more disappointment.

Please know that all of you are in our families prayers as we are thankful that we have so many wonderful friends that are keeping their watch over us.

Our local support group is amazing. I have not been shopping for food for over a week. We are being well fed by our friends and neighbors here. That is helpful as I am not mentally here enough to cook dinner. Dave and I are starting to go to work every day, sometimes we stay half an hour sometimes a couple of hours. We are lucky to have employers that are also supportive of our efforts to find Chris.

I cannot say thank you enough for all that you are doing. It really does mean so much to me and my family. I had my husband read the thread so he could feel your love and support too. Thank you!

Every day when I wake up I rush to my computer to check here for any updates.  I hope you get word soon!
