Mission: exercise an entire year
lets all get fit together! i have decided to tweak this thread because i like the idea of exercising for a full year more! =)
basically, i want you all to tell me add: (however many minutes you do TOTAL for the week) i will add them all up until we reach our goal of 8,760 hours- 210,240 (gonna take along time, lol) but how cool would it be to say we excercised for an ENTIRE year.
JOIN! it'll be GREAT motivation! this can be for maintainers &gainers &people trying to lose weight! open to everyone!

minutes done so far: 2,175 minutes left: 208,065
- 40 minutes speed walking on treadmill
- 40 minutes swimming breaststroke
- 10 minutes stretching and abdominal exersices
Wednesday:
Biked to and from school and then to the grocery store and back home: 45 minutes
I miscalculated the amount of space I had in my bag for groceries and I had to bike back home with an overstuffed bag, it was so heavy!
I haven't gone yet, but I am going to the gym for 60 minutes.
Total 105 minutes.

Wednesday - done 2 hours walking the dog today and 2.5 hours in the garden - 4.5 hours excecise in total.
Hope no body minds that I am not a teenager or 20 something - but I still would love to stay here with and be motivated to excercise.
At 20 something I had two kids and was still trying to lose wieght - seems to be my recurring theme in life. This time I hope its the last.
When I was in my twenties and losing weight I used to love to go dancing, found it great fun and it never felt like excercising and it was a great excuse to get together with my mates... go for it girsl..
okay, i have a change in what i want to do. this once a day thing isnt working out. &some people dont put the total so this is becomming time consuming cause i have to do all the math of what workout they did that day.lol im thinking that maybe we should post once weekly.
also, i was thinking about the 'mission:run around the world' thread &was thinking of changing this one to 'mission:exercise a full year' yuhknow. 24 hours in 1 day... then we add up all the hours to make it to 365x24=8,760 hours. what do you guys think?
Thirty more minutes added to my count! Woo hoo! I'm just starting the whole working out thing so I don't wanna like blow an o ring going too fast! In other words... I'm fat and lazy. WOO HOO!

Peacelovehominy, that sounds good to me! Whatever makes it easier to keep track of is a good idea. What day were you thinking of having us post our weekly totals? I'm not familiar with the "mission:run around the world thread"...so as a whole we try to reach 8760 hours. And then once we do would the challenge be over?? Sorry about all of the questions, lol!

that is a good idea. also, you made an error in my total : i said 40 mins stretching and 2 hrs wushu. that comes to 160mins total, not 40 :)
I biked to the park and back: 30 minutes
Kickboxing: 60 minutes
Total: 90 minute
- Swimming - 45 minutes
- Treadmill - 40 minutes
- Stretching - 10 minutes
add: 120 mins
new total: 210
Add:
Biking to school/back: 30 minutes
Elliptical/treadmill: 40 minutes
Weight machines: 20 minutes
Total for today: 90 minute
treadmill: 60 minutes
