Mmmm Kashi!
Ive only ever tried Kashi cereals once, and now I cant even remember what kind it was, but I wasnt really that into it. Well, not when it came down to a choice between Kashi or Capn Crunch! LOL
I do like the Kashi waffles though, they are actually pretty tasty I think. ANyway...I am eating Kashi GOLEAN Crunch! Honey Almond Flax and it is YUMMY! As a matter of fact, I measured out 1 cup and am just eating it dry right now, snacking away on it for breakfast as Im typing this. Im thinking of adding some to my yogurt later today. So for anyone who hasnt ever tried this particular kind, I say go for it! Its surprisingly good - and full of protein, fiber & omegas-3s.

Yeah, I tend to eat the Kashi bran cereals myself.
Interestingly enough (surprising to me), Kashi is Big Organics (tm). It's owned by Kellogg. If you care about such things.

I LOVE the Kashi GoLean Cruch Honey Almond Flax. Usually one serving of cereal doesn't fill me up (who measures a serving anyway?), but I can eat one serving of that, enjoy it, and be full when I finish. Downside-only six servings per box. It's particularly tasty if you top it with blueberries. My house is full of Kashi stuff. My dh says I am single handedly ensuring the success of the brand.
On a somewhat similar topic, has anyone tried the Special K Honey Nut bars? They truly taste like a honey/nut flavored rice crispy treat. And only 90 calories. Even my junk food-loving dh loves them. Fantastic treat!

Ive never tried those, but I may check it out.
I love Kashi cereals ! I eat them with sliced strawberries on top, I eat it mixed with yogurt as a snack and I eat it dry on my way home from work. Yum and its good for you !
I currenty have the Kashi Go Lean Cinnamon Oatmeal, and Its really good, other than its not very sweet, so i slice up a banana and it works for me! SO good!!
Stlgirl - maybe try the Kashi cereal I mentioned for breakfast, I know youre looking for something more filling. Its 200 cals and I think a 1/2 cup of fat free milk is 90 cals - but double check that.
really? Kashi is owned by kellogg's? Why is there such a ridiculous oligopoly? in the cereal market?!
I am a big fan of the Kashi TLC bars. They are perfect for mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. They are all between 130 - 180 cals, and loaded with fiber and protein. I love the peanut butter, honey toasted 7 grain, and the honey almond flax. I buy them by the case and stock them in my "snack drawer" at work!
kashi Heart to Heart Raisin Spice oatmeal is awesome!
I love the dry cereals too, but I can't be trusted around an open box of cereal, since I'll eat the whole thing. I try to stick to the oatmeals for that reason.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Kashi entrees??? I saw a few in the freezer section at the grocery store today. They're a little pricey, but what healthy food isnt, right..?? Anyway, They looked pretty good, but I dont want to spend $4.00 on one meal especially if its going to be gross... Along with the Kashi Bars, try Fiber 1, those are also great sources of fiber, and protein, and they're wonderful!
I munch on Honey Almond Flax every morning! It reminds me of cracker jacks. I agree that it is filling and it holds me over until lunch time.
I often mix 1/2 cup of Fiber One with 1/2 cup of kashi golean crunch. It's a bit fewer cal than a whole serving of golean crunch, and some extra fiber. Add some frozen blueberries, and milk or plain/vanilla yogurt...YUM! Good enough for a dessert, let alone breakfast!
Anything Kashi is bound to be good. One of my favorite breakfasts is one cup of Golean Crunch and half a cup of soy milk. It keeps me full and satisfied all morning long. I want to try the waffles.
also, the honey sesame TLC crackers are awsome. I like to eat them with yogurt as a snack.
mmmm kashi waffles with pb2 and cinnamon. yep that will be tomorrows breakfast lol. Haven't tried this cereal tho! I'll have to do that :)
stlgrl! That's what I had for dinner! I had the Southwest Style Chicken and yeah, of course, the sodium was a little high (680 mg)but it was delicious and so wholesome tasting! It had like a southern rice pilaf stuff that was tender, yet chewy. Mmm Good!
I like the Golean crunch with light vanilla soy milk either for breakfast or as a snack. I llike how it takes a while to eat, so I can't just gobble it down and it does keep me full. Sounds like I need to try some of the other Kashi cereals!
yuM! I just tried the Kashi Almond Flax honey thinger this morning and it was sooooooooooo tasty! love it!
I just had the chicken Florentine entree from Kashi, and wow so yummy! Good for me and yummy is aleays great. And it was pretty filling, I would definitely recommend it.
