oh and also i have always wondered what victoria beckham must eat per day too?
Not enough. Not nearly enough.

A better question would be... what does someone who's healthy, like the Williams sister eat. :)

But if they only eat diet coke and fags they must be on deaths door i think its really shocking
Well I don't think we can make assumptions about people we don't know, HK!
well they look like there on deaths door lol.their faces are gaunt and you can see their bones a mile of.they look like they need a few pies
i dont know what victora beckham eats but i saw a menu for her typical day in her diet book called the skinny bitch,i think shes a raw vegan.

i cant imagine any of them eating any carbohydrates
Nooo..

I think we can make some assumptions that most supermodels with way too low BMIs don't eat nearly enough, Susan.

But that someone who needs their strength for sports does.

I think we can make that assumption.
whats the big deal with carbs why are they so bad i thought the wholemeal versions of bread and pasta are good for you
im not a supermodel or anything like that but i am a runwaymodel/commercial/promotional model =]

yeah im 5'8 110lbs and a size 0-1-2 depending on the store and wether its pants/skirts/shorts.

i can tell you that i dont starve myself and eat 1600 calories daily (which is my maintnance if im sedentary)

and do a combo of cardio & strength training for 30 mins a day too

its all about eating your maintnance calories and getting a work out everyday to stay healthy =]

dont starve yourself. trust me i went through that and i'll never go back ><
I heard Sandra Dee, an actress who was super thin from back in the day, only ate lettuce! There is a lot of controversy over her having an eating disorder during the time she was acting.
I think genetics has a lot to do with it. I come from a long line of short and dumpy people. I'll never be tall and svelte.

But I also think that some are undernourished.
And some are coke heads (the kind you snort, not drink).
And some are living off champaign and cigs.
But some work hard to do it in a healthy way.
And some are just lucky -- look at Giselle. Every time I see her she's eating.
Its really annoying when people assume that models do drugs and don't eat just because they're skinny.
Even more so, when it turns out to be true in a lot of cases.

Not all models don't eat, not all models have EDs, not all models do drugs.

But... there's just enough of them out there...
Yeah. There's also enough actresses and actresses out there.  And comedians.  And athletes. And scientists. And doctors. And lawyers. So what, there's a lot of every profession out there.

Is it so unrealistic to think that models are just really good and lucky with being beautiful, tall, and slim?

I don't think so.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. :)
Maybe some of these models really work hard for their bodies and maybe some of them used to be fat. I do think it is unfair to assume that most of them starve themselves. I know I'm working my butt off (literally) to have a great body and be healthy and I hope that nobody tries to discredit me by saying "oh she probably starves herself or does coke" once i get there.
I'm not trying to discredit all women. But I think there's a difference between a natural ideal weight, and super-skinny which most models tend to be.

I think it requires starvation or coke to be getting down to BMIs of 18 or 17, which alot of these models have. Because your body just doesn't want to do that on it's own. It's not healthy.

On the other hand.. I think it requires hard work and good healthy choices to get to and stay at a good, healthy, "ideal" weight which is what I think we should all be aiming for.
Not only THAT but - with this rationale, it would be like ME looking at all overweight people and assuming that they are lazy and stuff their faces all day long!

IS THAT FAIR?
