MODS?

You all are all over threads where it would be better if you left well enough alone but when there is a blatant violation of the TOS by both posting and by profile (naked peole anyone?), there is not a single one of you to be found??  I have PM'd THREE mods....and nada, nothing, zilch.

I guess Sunday morning is the time to start flame wars and use profanity that zips by the filter.

candy, there are at least five, in multiple forums.  look for key words like "penis" and "semen."

i tried to report one but the system was unable to process the report.

instead of going after the threads, how about tackling the profile.

omg - the username is "bigpenis."  obviously there are holes in the system.

His account has been deleted by the c-c team.

PG-- I reported almost all the threads as soon as they were posted, pm'd THREE mods with the profile link, and finally resorted to posting this.... I am glad Candy was around, I didnt know who else to try.

I've been at a tech rehearsal for a play all day, 11am to 4:30pm. :\ I got your PM but by the time I'd gotten home it had already been sorted. As annoying violations like that are it's not always possible to instantly fix them.

I wasnt looking for instant-- just a mod who was online!

Did you first click on the report violation feature?  That flags the post for immediate attention.

Please remember that we are unpaid volunteers and it's Sunday.  I only check my mailbox and my own forum twice a day on weekends, and I do a quick check to see if anyone has flagged a post, but somebody is almost always around.

Thank you for taking the trouble to make sure the message got to us.  We really do need you all to help us keep the forums safe for all.

Sometimes the report violation button doesn't work... I know I've had problems with it before.

I of course clicked the report violation feature (on at least five (5) of the posts).  I would not have been so concerned but multiple messages went up on multiple forums that are entirely inappropriate and there was abject nudity in the profile.  I am certainly not a prude but I can only imagine a parent stumbling onto a website that their child uses and seeing something like that.  It could cause CC a box load of legal trouble if not taken care of quickly. I realize that you are unpaid and I was unsure of who would be around at 11 on a Sunday-- so about 20 min after the first report and another six messages had gone up I PM"d a mod with the profile.  I waited, wasnt sure they were online, so I chose another one that is typically around a lot, then another.  I finally posted a forum message because I knew that would get the attention of anyone who happens to be on site.

Sundays are very very low volume days and I had no idea who would be around if anyone at all.  I took all the appropriate steps and in fact the step that lead to fruition was posting on the board.

I know and understand how things work around here; you and I have both been here for a very long time.  Perhaps there might be an easier way of finding out who is covering some hours-- not all of you are all that vocal in your forums.  Certain mods I can always find by checking out their "hangouts."  Some of the rest of you I have no idea if you are even moderating now.

I am glad it was taken care of before it was an issue.  As much as I love penis enlargement in the morning....
