She asked what I wanted. Any suggestions for good diet foods? Anything, snack foods, entrees, whatever you like the best.

Oh and I'm a vegetarian...

quinoa....but, it can be kind of hard to find. It is a grain, so I found it by the rice (cooks the same as rice). High in protein, fun to eat....

oh good one. I used to eat this when I was at school, the dining hall always had it. Do you think a wholefoods or asian grocer might have it?

I've seen it in the organic food section of Kroger with the organic soups and cereals.

oatmeal, not the pre-packaged, flavored kind, but real oatmeal.

lentils - yummy in soups or as a replacement for pasta

nuts, unsalted

fresh fruits and veggies - avocadoes, tomatoes, apples, bananas (great mashed into the oats), oranges, cucumbers

whole-grain bread

Ditto on jenningermany she has the ticket.

NOOOOOOOOOOODLEEEES and a can of veggie soup !!! =D!!

a wholefoods would be more likely than an asian grocery, I would think

Quinoa originates from South America. You will definitely find it at Whole Foods (unless they're out of stock) and definitely won't find it in an Asian grocery store.

Lol I never knew where quinoa came from, it was just always near the asain stuff or near the salads at school so I just assumed.
