I haven't been doing so hot. All my kids and the hubby were sick all last week and I got WAY behind on laundry. It was uglylet me tell you. It was just so much easier to grab a cookie or something like that than a good healthy meal or even a healthy snack. I am getting back on the wagon this week though and am determined to log everything! That really helps me.
How do you join? I think that this what I have been looking for. I am 23 and i have a 2yr old daughter and 6 yr old stepson and since my daughter it seems hard to loose the weight and when i think about how much i have gained it makes me upset. I am looking for some kind of a support group and i hope i can get that here.

I do think though that you might find a whole lot of people that are in very similar boats!Good for you for starting this so soon instead of doing what I did and wait until 4 kids later!
Welcome to all of our new mommies! It is great to see so many of us gathering!
I seem to be stuck at 151ish. I guess I will be thankful I am not gaining. I switched the diet and exercise, laid off exercise, started doing it more and it just isn't moving. Ava is only 11 months old...maybe I am just in a hormonal wasteland waiting for things to normalize (again - or does this ever really happen?) :)
Challenge - Mon Dec 17-Sun Dec 23 AND Dec. 24-30
OK, so this may seem basic, but since we are in the Christmas season and around the cookies and more snacky food, we are going to go back to the water goal and stick with it for 2 weeks. I can only speak for myself, but I love sweets and getting together with our friends and family. So let's focus on drinking half of our body weight in ounces (i.e. I am 151 so I need to drink 75 ounces a day or 9.5 glasses) so we can cleanse our systems and flush out those yummy cookies (and hopefully a pound or 2).
Also - sorry there was no challenge last week. I thought Cati was posting it and was out of town so didn't notice nothing was here.
If anyone has any ideas for challenges, just throw them out there with the dates. Cati and I started the thread but we are a team. :)

What do you guys think of making teams at the start of the year to see which team can lose the most weight? We could try to make sure each team has tall, short, wide weight range, etc. in it.

Can you cut and paste a format from the December challenge you mentioned? Then we could each edit our weigh ins on Mondays & email our team captain our starting weight, total lost on Mondays as well. Then the person in charge of each team could track total loss, etc. What do you think?
Is there a way to let others edit a post that you make? (i.e. can the team captain make a post and each person edit their weight etc?) Also, if no one weighs in for 3 weeks, they are out. That way we are not trying to track them down.

I am not sure how to let others edit your post. You would have to ask a moderator Or some such. That really would be the easiest wouldn't it! But not sure if that is even possible for us "lay folk".

I dont think you will be able to get the edit functionality - I'm not sure they could put a security around it that would only let you edit just within this group, you know? It's a dangerous tool.
So will each team pick their own names or colors or something? When can we start!!!!????

If you are interested in the weight loss competition, email me and include:
Name, height, frame size, current weight, goal weight (this will help us form teams that are equal. I don't want a team of people that are al 5 pounds from their goal weight b/c they will not lose as much. )
Example: Amy, 5'7", medium frame, currently 150, 144 goal weight.
Should we just do pounds lost or go%age for what? Once I have everyone, I will form teams and make a post. When we know how many we have, we can pick team captains that will post each week. YAY!!!
I think there has to be team names, that would be so much fun! I did HORRIBLE over the holiday, but I'm back on track now that I'm back at work again. I didn't even do bad with the food - it was the snacking and chocolates that pushed me over. I think if I hated chocolate I would be fine! :o)
