Moms...wrinkly belly
do what you can before abdominoplasty. get yourself settled at a goal weight, take massage, use lotions and ensure you are always hydrated. you may be lucky and find your skins elasticity is recoverable, and you may not. ensure you do anything you humanly can to avoid surgery before you consider it seriously.
it may take 2 years or more for your skin to come back to normal.
i personally have never had children but have the exact same tummy as mothers i know - and sometimes mine looks worse than theirs~ just from weight loss. unreal.
Well, my "pouch" doesn't hang in two separate sections, but I do understand the wrinkles around the belly button thing. Between preganancy stretch marks and the weight loss, I just have to accept the fact that I won't be wearing low cut jeans or itty bitty bikinis even when I reach my goal (which is okay - I never wanted to wear them any way).
Short of surgery, the only thing I know of to help is muscle building/toning exercises, and keep the area hydrated - there are various types of "body butter" that are really good for that.
