i always weigh myself 1st thing monday mornings, AFTER going to the loo (that must account for a couple of oz!) and before eating, drinking or showering (wet hair weighs more than dry!! ;-D)

anyone else weigh in on mondays? shall we have a "monday weigh-in club" and report each monday how we're doing? might be a good idea to just reply to this topic each week to keep it all in one place rather than creating new topics each week? then we can all spur each other on!

last time i was trying to lose weight i started off by weighing in every friday, but found that weighing myself on mondays instead actually was an incentive to lay off the binges i'd usually do on a weekend, as the thought of braving the weights immediately after the weekend was enough to scare me from overeating!

so this is the start of my first week, so no loss to report yet, but my starting weight is 72kg / 158.8lbs, and we'll see how i did next week!

Walked tons though.  I shopped for 5 hours straight, hit an entire
outlet mall, that's a lonnnnnnnnnnng walk.  Plus it was
Gatlinburg, walking is what you do.

Hello Monday Weigh In Club!  This week I'm up .5 :( after my first full week of using the tools on this website.  I'm up to 207 from 206.5, and two weeks ago I was at 210, so atleast I'm down three in total, and only 62 more pounds to reach my goal!

According to the website, in order to reach my goal weight of 145 by April 27th, 2007, I need to consume 1500 calories/day.  More days than not I've been staying pretty close to that, and have been exercising pretty consistenly as well.  I think I'm really going to have to step it up in the exercise catagory.  So far I've had a daily defficite of approximately 1000 cal/day, which I thought would for sure give me a 2lb loss (1000cal defficite/day x 7 days/week = 7000cal defficite / 3500 cal to loose 1lb = 2lb defficite).  Oh well, not this week anyways.  On the bonus side though, in the past month I've lost an inch around my waist :)  Also, I'm feeling a lot healthier than I was from doing the weight watchers program (I love how the website gives you a grade on how healthy you've been eating!).

I have been seriously getting healthy since March 28, 2006 and started using this site since the end of April.  I started out at 326 - wow - did I just say that?!.  The good news is that as of today I have lost 44lbs.  I found this site by accident and have been hooked ever since.  I started to get serious about loosing weight because I felt like I was going to have a heart attack (seriously)  and couldn't move without total exhaustion.  Now I use the treadmill and some weights and eat healthy. I have more energy now than I can remember having in a long time. I have a Thyroid condition (hypo-of course) too and have not been a very good pill taker. I have finally committed to taking the meds, doing the exercise and eating right.  I can't believe how much better I feel.  I didnt think I could do it again as I have yo-yo'd many times and tried everything. I even resorted to Fen-Phen before I found out it could KILL you.  Guess I was looking for the magic in something or someone else to help me do the work.  Fortunately I am finding the magic in me.  I plan to keep trying.      &n bsp;

Yep, I am up too (had to weigh today instead of yesterday due to lack of scale at parents house)  But, I am blaming myself and the fact that I went home this weekend to see all my friends before I move on Saturday and ate out for almost every meal, and did not deprive myself.  I told myself on Thursday that I was going to not stick to plan and ate what ever I wanted, and boy was it good.  :)  Now I am back on plan today and feeling good.

completely off topic, but pmaggio: my mum was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about a year ago, and she has a friend who also has the condition (has been on medication for over 20 years). i came across an article about an alternative remedy in a magazine and there was an interview with a woman that claimed it had helped her, so i told mum who was somewhat sceptical but gave it a go anyway. 2 weeks later her energy levels were soaring and her frequent heart palpitations (sp??) had completely stopped. her friend was equally sceptical, but she came to thank mum for telling her about the product as she hadn't felt that good for over 25 years, and even had so much energy she was painting her fence at 1am!

i don't think the product is available in the UK or US, it's a scandinavian product i think... maybe it can be bought on the internet?? www.enaxin.com is their website, although it's only available in swedish and danish! there is a liquid form (more intense) and a tablet form and apparently you're supposed to take the liquid for 2 weeks, then the tablets for a month before another 2 weeks on the liquid and another month on the tablets and so on... mum says she can tell when her month of tablets comes to an end and it's time for a new liquid dose as she generally feels more sluggish then.

sorry i'm rambling on here and completely off topic too! just read the bit where you said you have hypothyroidism and thought this might be of interest!

feel free to email me for more info, i can read swedish and danish so can translate things from that website if you wish.
I wasn't around on Monday, or anywhere near a scale for that matter, but I weighed myself this morning. 158 lbs! Woooo!

todays weight....  201.4lbs  down 4.8 lbs since last week :) 
Not so good last week...168.8, up .5.  Actually I was down to 167 mid week, but went to a political fundraising BBQ Sunday and ate my weight in salmon and pasta salad. Back on the wagon this week!
I'm 161 This morning.  Total loss of 52lbs.
I was 154.5 lbs this morning, and extremely pleased with that.
ya this is a good idea, im in! Today i am still...130. better luck next week.
171.5 I think...up 1.5 from last time I weighed myself :(

still 196 lbs from last week D: seeing as i've platued this early in my weight loss, i'm going to have to relook at what i'm consuming. i think i'm eating too much sodium, and too little protein. i could have also gained a little muscle because i've been working out :D hopefully that's it.
