Monday Weigh-in Group

Quote  |  Reply

I figured I would start a new Monday weigh-in group (I actually couldn't find any...but I'm sure they're out there). For all those people who weigh in on Mondays, come here to share your progress, your setbacks, and find a buddy or two!

After gaining 15lbs in the past 3 months (ugh), I need to get back to working out and eating right like I used to! I want to get back on track before I start graduate school in July, so I can take those healthy habits with me into my new life! Anyway, today I am starting again. I have a new mindset: I don't hope to lose the weight or hope to become healthy. I AM going to lose the weight and I AM going to be healthy.

With that said,

Starting Date: 04/27/09
Starting Weight: 170lb
Current Weight: 170lb
Goal Weight: 140lb
Goal Date: 05/14/10

I'm a day late but weighed in today. I'm still maintaining! Smile Not exactly what I had in mind but better happy than sorry. I may not reach my December goal esp. with the holiday goodies coming up. I was really good for Halloween and only had 3 candies. I'll definitely have to keep going out there during the cold and wet days to jog because I have to maintain. And I still need to try to lose that spare tire that is being ever so stubborn!

I found out it's posponed...whew!

I held around 173 for close to 6 months, just before I hit this blog....The 160's plateau is working on 4 months.  Like you, I finally decided it was just practice for later and not to worry about it.  I think it's better to just stay than lose it all and gain it right back.  Plus, look how fun it's been hanging out on our little thread.  Now time for us to start a new thread and tackle the holidays!

Any thoughts on making this a 2 (Mon/Thur) or 3 (Mon/Wed/Fri) times a week weigh-in to help get through the Holidays?  I thought about starting another thread but I kind of like this one :D

 I think that's a great idea!

And actually, we could maybe use a new thread.  The original poster from this one is long gone and it might attract a few more people.  I mean, I'm happy with the just 3 of us regularly posting too, but a few more wouldn't hurt either.  :)

Good point...the more the merrier :)

You guys have any thoughts on what to call it?

I think a new thread is a really good idea. You're right, the original owner isn't with us any more. Although I don't mind just the 3 of us--at one point there might have been a 4th--I do like variety.

So any ideas on the new thread name? Holiday weigh-ins?

Thanks Ann. I believe that I have been at this 160-167lbs range for roughly 3 months. I'm not thrilled about it but I'm not upset about it either because that's the range that I have been at before my decision to lose the weight that I had gained. I know it takes time to really lose the weight and KEEP it off. I'm committed to living a healthy and active lifestyle more than the losing weight a.s.a.p.
