I figured I would start a new Monday weigh-in group (I actually couldn't find any...but I'm sure they're out there). For all those people who weigh in on Mondays, come here to share your progress, your setbacks, and find a buddy or two!


After gaining 15lbs in the past 3 months (ugh), I need to get back to working out and eating right like I used to! I want to get back on track before I start graduate school in July, so I can take those healthy habits with me into my new life! Anyway, today I am starting again. I have a new mindset: I don't hope to lose the weight or hope to become healthy. I AM going to lose the weight and I AM going to be healthy.

Changed things up a little this week and ate more than I

had been with good results. Ate up to my max on calorie count

guideline. Anyway, down 3.5 lbs for the week.

Happy Monday Everyone!!

I busted my hump this week and even started weighing my food.  It seems to have paid off in a big way.  I'm sure next week will be a slow one but this week was great and I feel pretty amazing!

Week 1 (04/20/09) - 220 - I didn't really go at it very aggressively for the first couple original weeks.

Week 4 (05/18/09) - 215 = -5lbs 

Week 5 (05/25/09) - 213 = -2lbs

Week 6 (06/01/09) - 208.5 = Cool -4.5lbs Cool

Total weight loss - 11.5lbs

Goal weight - 170 = 38.5lbs to go!!

Goal Date - Website shows Oct 9th, 2009 but I'm hoping for at least a little sooner than that!  Laughing

*sigh* Up nearly a pound. I expected this, though. Memorial day, 1300mile drive down to Orlando, and my first week in FL with my fiance including his birthday and our 4 year anniversary. This week WILL be better and I WILL make healthy choices.

Didn't lose much and made good choices all week.  I had a end-of-year BBQ this weekend and special dinner date - both those dinners probably played a toll on not losing more since I did work out 2 hours of cardio 5 days this week!!  Yikes.  So, this week I will continue staying on track, weighing food and sticking to eating every 3 hours - I spent an hour prepping breakfasts yesterday and snacks, which I think will help keep me on track and prepared.  Good luck everyone!!!

I'm ecstatic!  That's 15 lbs total and 2 lbs. last week.  AND I haven't exercised since last Monday.  That is a problem by the way.  I really need to get back on my plan.  Hope it doesn't slow me down this week.  I'm surprised I did so well last!  Well...back to the ol grind stone.

2.4 this week.  Not bad.  Glad I'm back going in the right direction. 

No change in my weight, but seems like my body is shrinking a little,  my ring fit a lot better and clothing is feeling better too

I weighed in today at 226 lbs. That's down 2.5 pounds over

the week. (Total loss of 22 lbs)

Started lifting weights and changing up my walk / jog routine. Did

this on the recommendation of a friend who is well on his way to

hitting his goals. Being around people who inspire and are positive

really helps. Also want to thank all of you who keep me honest.

Calorie Count is a great tool for me... Love this site.

Wow! Everyone is making such great progress!!! I'm truly inspired :):) And, I am also glad to have you guys to keep me accountable and honest!

I didn't do as well as I would have hoped with that 1lb gain last week, but I am still happy with a loss! I'm down 2.1lbs this week and I've (barely) entered the 150's! Hopefully I'll never see the 160's again!!

Also, I'm only .9lb away from "healthy weight" vs. the "mildly overweight" BMI that I've been at for such a long time! Hopefully by next week :)

Not a good week, but not a bad week since I didn't lose anything, which I am quite happy as we had to eat out a lot, and was weak on a few occassions. Need to get back on track this week, at least there is no eating out :-)

my current weight is 108.6 kilograms = 239.422017 pounds

(i ate an unusually big amount of food yesterday so i expect that number to become lower tomorrow:)

my goal weight is 61 kilos / 134 lbs but i would be satisfied with 70 kilos / 15 lbs

(my height is 174 cm / 5ft 8in)

start date: january 2008

start weight: 121 kilos / 266 lbs

(i have managed to lose a lot but sadly fell of the wagon. at 110 kilos / 242 lbs this may i have decided enough was enough)

goal date is something that i do not want to set in stone. it might take a year or two to get to my goal.

As of 6/08/2009 : 207 lbs 20% body fat

Goal body fat percentage : at or below 18% by August 1st

Total Goal body fat percentage 15-10%

ETA: no this is not my usual speed of losing. just several things happening at once (re-starting healhy eating etc), normally i lose less:)

Only down 1/2 pound since last week, but still happy that I'm moving in the right direction.  Really have to get back to exercising because I haven't done anything in 2 weeks...tsk tsk!  I was averaging around 2 pounds per week...so 1/2 pound isn't too bad based on food alone with no activity to log.

Carrie CONGRATULATIONS!!!!  Boy will that be a happy day for me!

I am so happy the scale is slowly but surely going down.  This is the most success I have ever had.  I finally started logging food every day (instead of just my good days) and it's working.  Now I need to up the exercise.  I got into some old clothes of mine that haven't fit in many many years! Smile
