1 month to a better me...tips?
My boyfriend is getting home from active service from the marines in exactly one month. I really really want to look 10000% my best for when he gets back...I litteraly want his jaw to drop when he see's me at the airport. I am not looking to drop a ton of weight in one month...I am smarter than that. I just want to look my best for where I am now, and if I lose weight between now and then awesome. So if anyone has any tips or idea's of things I should do for my hair skin and body please please let me know!
Thanks!
anyone?
The very best way to drop a lot of weight safely is to get really serious about your diet. Track EVERYTHING you eat and plan out exactly how many calories you should be having. Add in exercise every day / other day too.
Sticking to a diet like that will shed some serious weight from anyone (and is great for trimming the last 5 / 10 pounds for people who are already pretty thin).
a good cut-and-colour can work wonders. oh - and lose the hooters tee-shirt. it's awful.
I say buy an outfit that really flatters you. The right outfit can make a drastic change to someones body shape...in a good way!
Getting a pedicure - especially french style - and wearing sandals makes me feel pretty. I agree with the haircut/color and new outfit advice too.
Is he getting back from a deployment?
I agree. Get your hair done for a personal change if you wish and buy yourself a new outfit to flaunt your new self in! (It's a good reason to go shopping. ;))
Either way I'm sure your b/f if he loves you sees no point in changing yourself to impress him. If he loves you then he loves you for you. :)

agree!! you're really cute, but a cute hair style and/or color can do wonders :D
and the t-shirt.... um, yeah.... like pg said, find somethin' else to wear. lol ;)
other than that.... I'm sure he'll just be excited to see you, no matter what you're wearing (or NOT wearing) ;)
I'm glad he's coming home safe :D
You can lose a lot of weight in a week and really trim things up....dont take the easy way out and just get your hair done or something. If you really want to look nice, really be diligent with the diet for a while to get some serious results
thanks for all the ideas...and no I will not be greeting my boyfriend at the airport in my hooters t-shirt! Lol
I know that he loves me for me and all that, I just want to look really really extra good for him when he comes home! I know that he thinks I am beautiful and everything lol...he tells me everynight on the phone, he tells me how proud he is of me losing weight. One day I was talking about not liking my stomach and he told me to stop talking and that he wanted me to know that he loves every square inch of my body. He is pretty much the most amazing boyfriend ever and treats me so much better than any man has ever treated me.
He isn't coming home from a deployment he is just done...his 4 years in the Marines are up. He has been to Iraq twice for a total of 14 months tho. I'm so excited for him to come home and be home for good! It's been hard having him in California and me in Iowa...but we've made it work. :-) I'm just glad that we really get to be together now!
I know that bodybuilders have a 4-week recipe for looking great for competition. It makes them look slimmer, more defined, and overall great.
It has something to do with carb loading, and manipulating your sodium and potassium levels.
Let me find some more about it, and I'll get back to you. Melkor might knows a few of those preparation tricks, however.
pay attention to your skin! exfoiliation and lotion, and plenty of sleep. It'll make you look extra radiant.
Take a lot of "me" time by doing plenty of nice things for yourself. Before he comes, get a nice massage and throughout the month focus on feeding yourself healthily and treating your body the best you possibly can. Definitely do little things that make you feel happy, like manicures and pedicures and buying a lovely new outfit. Make sure you get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water. The better you feel on the inside, the more it will show on the outside.
And your boyfriend sounds so loving and wonderful! I'm so happy for you, I can imagine how excited you're feeling.

Oh that's just so darn cute. :D
Oh yeah...lol...the other day he told me to go buy a dress and that we will have our own valentines day when he is home :-)
Things just keep getting better and better!
Hmmm I recently picked up a book by Jillian Michaels, "Making the Cut," which is a 30 day plan for getting in your best shape possible. I haven't read it yet, but something to think about! I bet you can totally see results in a month.
I agree, buy a super cute outfit, get your hair done (maybe even that day if possible, I can never seem to do it the way my hair stylist does when I'm on my own!), visit a makeup counter at the mall like MAC and have them give you a little makeover. I say make sure you smelling good as well ;)
