So, I have decided to take my exercise to a new level. I am going to workout for a month. It doesn't have to be strenuous exercise everyday, but 5-6 would be nice and 1-2 days of gentle exercise. If anyone would like to join I would love to be held accountable!

I plan on doing cardio, with more of an intrest in weight lifting and circuit training. I have been pretty consistent with working out, but I feel that with my friends leaving for college, and what not, I may try to slack without the,

So I refuse to be defeated! So come with me if you want to live!

I am down like a clown charlie brown! I'm actually on day 3 of 3 week mission to just give it my absolute all (bday dinner.. must fit dress...) - so why not push it to a month? :)
Hey! Count me in, I've been doing mostly cardio and I really want to start gettin serious with the weight training. And I'll be less tempted to skip workouts on blah days if there's other people to answer to. :)

How long do you plan on exercising each day? I've been doing 30-40 min m-f but lately I've been feeling super lazy and I skipped last friday and yesterday, so hopefully this will help me stay motivated and get my butt in gear!

You know what, COUNT ME IN!  Lol, I've got 3 weeks and 5 days or so until my wedding, and with all the planning have completely stopped going to the gym.  So...I'm in, 5-6 days a week. 

I am trying to mix my workouts up, because I get bored so easily. Tonight I am doing swing dancing and 100 leg raises through out the day.

Tomorrow I plan on a bike ride to a park and then dircuit training.

I usually do 45 mins- 1.5 hours of workout. It can go longer due to the bike ride.

I am really excited to do this!

Maybe we should post stats and our goal for the month.

Stats:

5'4, 153 pounds.
Calves: 16 inches
Thigh: 22 inches
Hips: 38 (I believe)
Waist: 26.5 inches
Chest: 38

My goal is to get into the habit of continual workout, lose a few inches of my lower belly, and thighs. If I get down to 149 that would be awesome.

Yeah I've been slacking off lately. I need accountability. I'm gonna start right now by buying some whey protein for the first time ever. I've been lifting weights for about 3 months now but I haven't taken a lick of protein supplement. I feel I lost out on major gains by this bonehead move. Also, I've loosened up my weight training over the last few weeks taking several days off over the last weeks.

I've also gained a few pounds of pure fat as I've been eating more and working out less. My cardio training's been in the gutter lately too. I used to run every day, now I'm down to 3 days a week if that. I'm gonna up my cardio starting today.

My goal is definately to lose inches because even though I weigh less ralphlovestrixie has a lot of the same measurements as me. I'm a complete slacker apparently, 3 years ago I was 155 and I lost weight only through calorie counting, now that I started exercising (in july) I'm hoping to not lose really any weight but inches for sure. But I only had a string and a ruler to do my measurements so not sure how accurate but I'm buying a tape measure for sure later today.

Please count me in too. I guess this wud be a gr8 motivation to hit the gym everyday or atleast 5-6 times a week. I take this strength training classes which of course have never been regular to but am planning to do it seriously this time. On other days i do cardio like treadmill and elliptical or stationary bike.

Stats: Pretty embarrased to say 142 as of today..I started with 139.2 last week but probably gained on the weekend with no exercise and having this delicious pizza and what not ( God I hate weekends in terms of eating i mean) and Height 5 feet exact, i am too short.

My goal is to lose weight and inches. I wud luv to see the scale numbers go down:)

I work out every day sunday-saturday. I've been thinking Im not doing enough. I do weights every other day but always some cardio. I do 30 mins cardio and then 15 mins weight/ 15 mins cardio every other day. I don't think Im pushing myself hard enough but as Im working out I get so tired and reach my limit but I don't feel it as much afterwards. Any suggestions to my workout would be great.

count me in.  I just started going back to the gym this week.  I'm afraid to do my measurements.  I had a baby six weeks ago and it did a number on my mid-section.  Today and yesterday I did 50 minutes of cardio with some abs; but I need to really buckle down and get to the gym, at least 5 days a week; even if it means going at 5:30 AM before she gets up for her first bottle!!!

I'm 30 yrs old and I'll do my measurements in two weeks; b/c if I do them now; it may not be a good idea!!!  ;-)

I have lost 35 pounds since I had her and am working on the last 15 and re-shaping my body.  Legs, back and arms look fine;  I just have a mini pooch that I've never had before.  Before having her I was a gym rat and would like to return to the nice waist I had!!!

pinkpanther-  pizza=water retention from cheese; so you most likely just have some extra water weight and not real poundage-  so don't worry!!

Just did an hour of light to moderate strenght training at home (too lazy to hit the gym today.)

 

Did squats, barbell curls, pull ups, and chin ups. I'm about to hit the treadmill for 20 minutes or so.

Good morning guys! How is everyone doing today?

I didn't dance as long as I used to yesterday, and then afterwards I went out and had a sandwhich. It was a healthy one, but full of calories. I was upset with myself, but it is already done so what else can I do about it other than work it off?

So today is our first day. I am planning on doing 100 push ups throught out the day, and right after work going on a ride to a local park and doing circuit training.

 

So today I did my strength training and I bumped the weight up too, it was hard and I just barely finished but that's what it's about! And then I did 30 minutes on the treadmill on a 5% incline. I am planning on using the rowing machine tomorrow, they say it's a leg workout but my shoulders are always a little sore after. I just like it for cardio, it's quite a workout! But it was hurting my hands so I bought those work-out gloves with the finger tips cut off, I feel like a poser but hey, no calluses for me!

I just finished the turbo jam sculpt ( 40 min duration).It feels good:)

 I am gonna hit the gym later and do about 50 minutes of treadmill and elliptical.

Hey Vanessa, u r right abt the pizza thing, I am on 140 today down 2 lbs, probably it was just water weight.

Way to go guys! You rock. Day one is already under your belt. It will be under mine as soon as I get home. :)

pinkpanther I'm the queen of water weight prediction; since I'm a sponge.  Today I took the baby for a walk and then we did pee-wee pilates at home; since I couldn't get a babysitter :(  but it was still fun.  I'm going tomorrow since my mom told me she's free for me to go to the gym!

wow I feel like a whimp! I did 15 minutes weights and 15 minutes excercise bike. Maybe I'll go running tomorrow, I just bought new runners.

Vanessa, first of all congrats for the baby. You also lost a lot of weight 30 lbs after the baby. Thats really good... I remember just losing 17 lbs after i had my boy and trying to get rid of the 20 lbs still after 2 yrs. i am sure you wud shed the last ones. I was really never serious until now but this time the weight has to GO...I am pretty determined.

Hey Raplovestrixie: how do you mange 100 pushups. I am done like after 30 and that 2 the easy version.Embarassed

For today, I am planning to do turbo jam's cardio party and I have a weights class in the evening. That wud be the workout plan for today.

Hi everyone.  Good gym day today.  35 min on elliptical (arms and legs) followed by 10 minutes on stairmill (ugh-  that machine makes me SWEAT!!!)  then I did light weights.  I was pretty satisfied and can't wait to go back tomorrow.

Raediant-  what kind of new runners did you get?  Just before I got preggo I started running without doubling over in pain in my side; now I have to start all over again.  15 and 15 is better then 0 and 0.  Know what I mean?

Pinkpanther-  thanks!  it's a challenge!!  I'm sure you'll lose your last 20.  When we get to "that" point (where you and I are now) the motivation is always there to do SOMETHING every day to get the weight off!

How is everyone else's gyming go?

LBH-  that's the ultimate goal-  your wedding!!!  the gym is a great way to work off that planning stress!
I've got a holiday to Rarotonga in Feb so that's what I am working my butt off for :)

So far this week I have done 2 x body pump, and 2 x spin (bike) classes... so I feel really good, and the scale is dropping, hooray :)

reading everyones posts is SO motivating. I love our little group!
