Hey folks , check out my gallery. You've heard me brag all the way along-well here are my first before and after pics. I hope these will inspire you all, it can be done! I've gone from 252lbs to 187lbs in one year. ( I started CC+ at 247 lbs in January 2008) I still have 50 lbs to go, but don't you agree I look awesome!?  Thanks so much everyone for your support and encouragement!!

thanks guys, I know I still look pretty chunky, but for the first time in ten years I can look at a picture of myself and NOT be disgusted.  The before picture is just so embarassing, but I needed to keep it to remember how awful I felt and stay motivated.   I will post pics again after another 6 months, will I be at my goal weight??  fingers crossed!

You look completely amazing! Keep the good work, I'm definitely inspired by your progress! Thank you for sharing I needed that today.

SIMPLY GORGEOUS!

You look fantastic!  What a difference!  How much did you lose in 6 months?

Way to go!  Keep up the great work!

How on earth did you do it so FAST?! I've lost fifty pounds in eight months and I thought that was doing well... I was doing REALLY well for the first four months and then it slowed right down and I can't get below 210.

Thanks for posting--it is SO encouraging to see such success stories. I was feeling a bit frustrated lately and this is just what I need to see and read!

Not to sound stupid...but Im new to CC and was wondering where I can see these amazing pictures!

Well done!  Congratulations!

Thanks so much for your good wishes I couldn't have done it without all of you and your words of advice and encouragement over the last 6 month

Here are my "secrets"

-I eat between 1400 and 1600 calories per day

-I eat steamed veggies every day, up to 500 calories worth.

-3 ozs of lean meat each day, no more and no less.

-300 calories of fruit, any fruit I want each day.

no bread, but either 1/2 cup of pasta or 1/2 cup of rice with a meal if it fits into my caloric allowance for the day.

snacks- grapefruit, apples, pita chips, fat free jello snacks, and rice cakes.

and lots of fresh water and herb tea.

AND, I will take the stairs if given a choice, or park at the far end of the parking lot and walk to the mall.  And I dance whenever I'm alone! Not lots of exercise- but every bit counts.

I do the same thing. I don't run into a lot of situations where I have to choose between stairs and the elevator, but I do live in an upstairs apartment. I do, however, park a mile away everywhere I go. People think I'm crazy and actually talk as if I don't know there are spots closer. But I park way out not just for the extra walking, but to keep my vehicle from getting banged up by all these people slamming their doors into you.

I LOVE THAT YOU DANCE!

So, are you willing to share some advice?  I'm intrigued by the 3 ozs of lean meat every day - I'm SO not a vegetarian, but I've been limiting myelf to either an unseasoned chicken breast or a seasoned salmon fillet (both frozen and processed) for meat, and often opt for pasta, mushrooms and/or tofu faux-food for my protein instead.  Do you have any "Dummies for Cooking" suggestions for meat?  Not only cooking, but for purchasing.

Many thanks,

Split

Amazing progress.

Keep on bragging sweetie you look awesome! I cannot beleive such a change has happened in such a short amount of time, you diet seems amazing, well done for posting it, you are the PROOF that sensible eating and moderate activity can give you the results you need without faddy diets!

Well done and keep up the good work!

:)
