Wow! I can't believe that after less than a week of eating healthier and moving more and excercising a few times a week... I feel amazingly better! I mean, my mood has changed ALOT. I feel just happier, I wake up in the morning in a better mood and just all around I feel good. I know I have a long ways to go, but I have managed to stay optimistic! I ordered some clothes from Old Navy and they came today... Well I didn't know what sizes to get so I ordered the ones I thought.... and they we're too big! Now, I haven't lost much weight yet, but there is definately something about getting your clothing order in the mail and it being too big, rather than too small. LOL. Could just be me! But have any of you noticed changes in your moods? Over all happiness? Confidence? I'd just like to know what you all are feeling! :o)

Caitlin:

I have noticed too that I feel better about myself. I cannot say that my clothes fit any better because I gained two pounds. But I am still on my diet and I am not discouraged yet. I have dieted many times before, I think this time is it. It has affected my health and limited me from doing things I usually do. In the last two weeks I have been able to walk further and have a conversation while I walk without being winded.

Hang in there, even when you have a bad week.

yes yes yes

Happier, more confident, less stress, anxiety has diminished.

I felt physically so much better after having lost just the first 10 pounds. I was stunned how much more limber I felt. Mind you know at this point I was still way bigger than I am now, but I still felt so much better.

I don't know what it is! haha. I haven't lost much weight I don't think, and my clothes really don't fit that much better.. but I feel just overall, better. It's amazing what small, healthy changes can do to your mind and body! :)

My clothes loosened up when I started exercising but before I started cutting calories.  But now I'm definitely a different size, but not sure which size.  I tried on sets of pants yesterday and they were shaped so poorly that the big size was too big and the smaller size fit funny.

But yes, exercising has helped my moods tremendously.  I don't feel so hopeless and helpless anymore.

One of the best mood lifters for me is when I put on something I haven't been able to wear and it not only fits but is a little loose.  It almost makes me giggle.  As as matter of fact I think I have giggled on occasion.  I even check myself out in the mirror once in a while as I walk past - and I am still planning on losing another 20 lbs - but I can already see some differences that make me feel happy and more successful.

Onward and downward! ( on the scale that is)

I've been maintaining my healthy weight with a fairly 'clean' diet and some exercise for several years now.  What I certainly notice is the effect poor food and inactivity has on me..... sluggish, bloated, and a bit down in the dumps.   A couple of weeks ago I had a business trip which involved airline catering, hotel food and 'meeting buffets' and I felt like complete poo by the end of it all.

Absolutely Caitlin.  I'm with you 100 percent.  I've only been doing this for 2 weeks and I find myself waking up in a much better mood even if it's cloudy outside.  I find myself starting to question whether I want to eat something bad because I'm hungry or because I'm bored etc.. etc.. and I'm learning to pass on those things more often.  Because of the fact that I'm learning to say no more often, that in itself is giving me more self confidence.  Keep up the good work :)  If it's STARTING OUT this way for you, than it can only get better :)  :::congrat pat:::

YES YES YES!!   This is the biggest change I have seen! I have depression and anxiety and haven't felt this happy in over 2 years now!

If I don't loose too much wieght then I am still so pleased I made this lifestyle change as for me my mental state is so important!

Keep at it girls and guys!
