How more pounds do I have to lose??pic

Hi,

I really need your opinions, please be HONEST with me. In the last three months I've lost a significant amount of weight, and for a while I was pleased with my new shape, But in the last few days (although nothing special happened) I'm feeling chubby and gross again..it's so frustrating. I don't understand what's happening with me, I feel like I'm continually gaining although I'm controlling my cal intake and my portions.

I know exactly how you feel! I lost alot, but i've recently noticed massive love handles :/ ahh where did they come from! But don't worry sweetie, you're figure is actually amazing! Don't forget that hormonal changes and water retention make us feel twice the size!

Just smile :) you're figures perfect :)

Maybe 5 pounds tops. But honestly I think you just need to start lifting weights. Really heavy ones, not 5lb barbie weights please.

I am being honest, you look really good!  Bloating can make you feel bigger than usual, so that could possibly be what has happened (although you don't look bloated at all to me).  If your period is coming, that could cause bloating.  Give it a few days...you look awesome by the way

You're perfect, don't lose 5 lbs.   If you're active and eating healthily at maintenance calories, you're doing everything right.  Congratulations on losing a lot of weight!

To be completely honest, I think you are thin enough that you even have a buffer for holidays and such, to gain a couple.

Seriously I dont think you need to lose 5 lbs at all! You look great. You could even stand to gain some muscle I'd say!

What were your stats before and after if you don't mind me asking??

Very inspirational!

I agree with the others saying that you don't need to lose anymore weight. Just start weight lifting! It will make a world of difference. :)

You look amazing, hun! You don't need to lose anymore weight. :)

Is your time of the month coming up? That always makes me feel bloated and gross. Or did you recently eat something very salty/greasy? That also makes me feel sick and gross.

 my thoughts exactly.

I think CC should have a rule against "how do I look?" or "do I need to lose weight?" posts

why do you care what annoymous strangers on the internet think?

I agree lose those underwear or shorts whatever they are!

and if you weigh 42.2 kgs i can't imagine you need to lose weight.

Wow, I'm really surprised by a few of these comments (namely the last few above me!) That was a really rude thing to say. It can be very hard to be able to accuratly "assume" the meaning behind what someone says online. Why? Because you can't hear the person's tone, you have no other sources of communication on a post like this other than words (ie. no facial expression, no hand motions, nothing else.) So, I think it's all too uncalled for to simply assume that the OP was "fishing for complements." On the note, what's WRONG with that? Maybe I'm the odd ball here, but it's always ncie to hear a compliment. Considering many people here are probably self-conscious (correct me if I'm wrong but I feel like that's safe to assume on a weight-focused forum,) I think these kinds of posts should be encouraged. Maybe not on this board -- maybe we should have a whole separate board just for this kind of thing. Not only does it give feedback from other people wth similar goals to the OP, but it can aso be great motivation to others. I guess I just can't wrap my head around WHY you guys are snapping at her? And her underwear? WHO CARES?? It's not nice nor is it logical to bring a completely off-topic subject to support an argument. First you snap at the poor girl for wanting advice, and then you attack her underwear!! I personally applaud her for being brave enough to post pictures of herself like that because I know that at this point, I'm too unhappy with the way I look to do that. And when I get to my goal weight, I want people to tell me how much better i look too (or if they think I lost too much.) Nothing wrong with that.

/end hijack

To the OP: I think you look awsome and I really hope my legs look that thin whe I get to my goal weight! I agree that if you feel like youstill have somewhere to improve that you should tone up a little more. You said you feel like you're continually gaining -- now, are you really gaining (are your clothes tighter, scale shows a higher number, measurements bigger?) or is it just that you FEEL weighed down and bloated?

If you physically gained weight then maybe you need to adjust your maintainence intake (I assume you're on maintainence?) If you didn't, then give it a few more days like the other posters said; you could be retaining water (from period, sodium, other stuff) or you might have just built a new perception of yourself. I am pretty sure I read somewhere once that out of a group of people who were put on severely calorie-restricted diets, a few of them felt dissatisfied with their bodies after they were allowed to return to normal eating (and in turn some of them did not return to "normal" eating and exhibited strange eating habits/thoughts,) even though before the study they had always had a good body image. I'm not saying you have strange or abnormal eating patterns or habits, that's not something I would know and that';s not the point I'm trying to make. My point is that it's not uncommon to be unhappy with how you look, lose weight and feel great about your new body, and then become used to the new you and feel like you still don't look good enough. So, just keep tabs on it and don't go too far. Take it from a ballet dancer, you look really, really good at that weight. We can't really tell you how you'd look or feel at a lower/higher weight, but personally I don't think you shoudl lose weight. Only because you look really great now!

Maybe if you still want to lose some, lose a little bit like 2 or 3 lbs, and see how you feel. If you feel better, good. If you feellike you look too thin, just get back to your current weight. I would strongly advise not to lose more than 5 lbs, though...I know sometimes it might seem like you don't look thin enough to yourself but you are your own worst enemy. No one else looks at you and thinks you need to lose weight.

Oh, one last thing -- congrats on the weight loss!! Now get yourself a new bikini and go to the beach to show off ;)

Never assume, afterall, it makes an A** out of U & Me. Heh. :P

To the OP: You look fine, Sweetheart. :)

just wondering, are you underweight?

cause imo, you look underweight

I started dieting in February. By the time I weighed about 123 lbs (5'4" tall, 24 y), nom I am 93-94 lbs but I'm pretty sure (someone even mentioned in this topic if I really am 93 lbs...) I look like someone who weighs min. 105 lbs. That's why I think the BMI index just doesn't work for everyone. I really appreciate calling my progress inspirational. Thank youSmile!

Hi,

I really don't see what's your point guys...I just wanted some honest opinions as  mentioned in my previous post. So this probably sounds weird for you but I'm finding rather difficult determining my "my ideal"\ "optimal" weight.

Yes, theoretically I am (BMI 16.4) but in reality?.... I look chubby

LOL, puhleeze. You are not chubby, you are underweight. ****, if you're chubby then what the hell does that make me? 5'4 and 93-94lbs? Please seek help with your distorted body image if you really think you are chubby.. I understand you feel insecure but you are slapping a lot of ladies in the face by making this thread.

You are quite underweight. A BMI of 16.4 puts you below 85% of your normal weight. You're desire to lose more weight, or at least maintain your weight, moves you right in to the category of disordered thinking. You've been told this on threads before.

As for the first few encouraging her to lose more weight: This is not a pro-ana forum. There is no way you can view that picture and imagine more weight loss is necessary.

i think you have a distorted view of your body. because that is close to what i looked like when i was underweight/annorexic (no waistline, ribs and hipbones show). you would look better if you gained at least 10lbs
