"More to Love"
MORE TO LOVE, the new dating competition show from Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor"), follows one regular guy's search for love among a group of real women determined to prove that love comes in all shapes and sizes. The inspirational new series is hosted by iconic supermodel Emme.
Luke Conley is a 26-year-old former college football offensive lineman who stands 6'3" and weighs over 300 pounds. He's a successful sub-contractor and real estate investor who has his sights set on building a long-lasting ...relationship.
Anyone going to watch? http://www.fox.com/moretolove/
nope!
I'll stick to my reno 911 and simpsons and family guy and mad TV and southpark and deadliest catch and dirty jobs and extreme loggers and the universe and secrets of egypt and star trek - the next generation. (i always giggle when he says captains log)
the only reality tv show I like is so you think you can dance? so I doubt I would like it.
I caught a bit of the bachelorette the other day and wanted to smack everyone on the show. This sounds like pretty much the same thing.
Nope, I don't really like reality shows. Plus the idea of people making some sort of TV contest out of something as personal as "finding love" just seems silly to me.
Only reality show I watch is Big Brother. :P
Saw the ad for this. Was unsurprised that they thought of it. Am certain there will be a great many girls out there who will be watching and feeling a bit better about themselves, because of it. So for that it probably gets kudos.
These kinds of shows, on the whole, however, are not my cup o tea.

Wait, you DON'T like seeing a guy date a bunch of women at the same time, breaking all but one of the girls hearts??![]()
heh. For some reason the idea of 'auditioning' for a date holds no appeal. :)
It sounds interesting. Its a nice concept, but honestly its seems like just another excuse for obesity. To me anyways.
I'll probably watch it though :] I like silly reality tv shows haha
I get the concept, but it seems weird that the girls are seperate. Like they'll infect the other women with their fat. XD In the normal, or "real" world, there's big and small, right? He should be able to pick from everyone. :D
That wouldn't really work though. These shows are supershallow so the guy (or girl) typically winds up going with the person who most closely matches his 'type'. None of these girls would have survived round 1 with a 'regular' bachelor and, from the sounds of it, no thin girl would have survived round 1 with this guy.
But wouldn't they go for their type in the real world to? Except...not...on TV. XD
This is exactly the reason why I choose not to have cable.
Cause people would get fat to get onto the show?
Personally now I think they are giving large women the chance to make fools of themselves over a man they don't know. So now they get the same chance as the skinny ones from the bachelor. Yay! (sarcasm sarcasm sarcasm)
I think I'll just catch the clips on The Soup.

seconded! clip of the week aaaOOOOOO
Watching the video, I kept thinking - why does the phrase "real women" only apply to fat women? Real women come in all sizes; it shouldn't be used as a euphemism for only the overweight and obese.

I know! I want to throw things at my TV everytime I hear that clip!
I have no problem with the concept of the show per se... but that phrase just bugs the crap outta me! Yes, they are "real women." So am I, so are you, so are thin women, so are the women on The Bachelor (at least I would HOPE they didn't manufacture them somewhere).

My guess is that they mean as opposed to the skeletal supermodels. I read somewhere that the average American woman is a size 14. For once I'm glad to be "below average." I don't really watch shows like "The Bachelor," but I've been known to tune in for the last few minutes of an episode here and there to see the one who get sent away acting like they've just lost the love of their life. Personally I wouldn't want a man that I had to compete with a bunch of others for, but that's just me. I have noticed though that the women on these shows are always model perfect, and not really realistic for most of us, so I think that's where this show is going. I think they mean just normal women like those that live next door, and not these perfect creatures that we see on television most of the time.

I saw the preview for this last night. These women are still well above average looking in my opinion. They all have awesome racks that make them look very proportional, gorgeous hair, and lovely faces. If they really want to make a realistic show...they should randomly pick people. I would consider watching a show like that, haha! But these sort of dating shows aren't going for realism, they are going for entertainment(which isn't entertaining at all to me).

Hear hear!
Agree - real women means all sizes, not just all fat. Because of that my first thought when I saw the commercial was "Fat Bachelor." Not a fan of dating shows, probably won't watch.
