Hi,

I have a weird question hehe! Do you think that eating these cerals:
http://www.kelloggs.ca/cgi-bin/klog-canada/pr oduct.pl?product=3430&company=2

with yogourt instead of milk would taste good?! Anyone tried replacing milk with yogourt? I just find my yogourt at 100g for 35 calories more filling then milk and I can get 2 portions of yogourt for less calorie then milk.

And what do you think about these ceralas? 170 calories for 49 grams is good or it's too much?

Thanks for any input!

The link didn't work, so I don't know exactly which type of cereal you were referring to... however:

I used to eat yogurt a TON (every day.. the only reaosn I dont know is because now I try not to eat much dairy), and I ALWAYS ate it with cereal.  I'd have my bowl of yogurt and bowl of cereal, and mix however much cereal into it.  I LOVED it.  Pretty much ANY kind of cereal, too!  Cheerios, froot loops, lucky charms, corn flakes... Yeah, I'm a huge cereal fan, and cereal + yogurt was ALWAYS a winning combo for me!  So I'm sure whichever kind of cereal you're looking at would taste great.  ;)

I also love, just LOVE cereal and yogurt!  Especially with some fruit thrown in, mm mm mm.  That sounds fine and normal to me, go for it >_^

My usual breakfst is 1 cup of balkan yogurt, 1/2 cup of dry oatmeal, 1 tbs of honey and some raisins.
It is filling and last until lunch time.

Sometimes a snack will be balkan yogurt, half a banana, musli cereal and chocolate sauce in a sundae dish.

I stay away from most cereals because of the refined flour.

Sometimes, when you copy and paste a link here, it develops a space between two characters which renders it inoperable. A corrected link is here.

Actually, it sounds like it might be. Let us know.

P.S. Awesome before and after pictures in your profile.  Good job!

Thanks for the info guys! I'll try it tomorrow morning.

As for the cereal itself, what you guys think? Filling enough for a serving or I could go with a better cereal with lower calories and more filling? Any suggestions?

And thanks for the before and after picture :)

Go with your plan and let us know how it works out. I'd like to try it but... you first!
Yeah, I do this a lot as a snack.  It's awesome!  I didn't look at your list of cereals, sorry, but I bet any cereal you personally like (mixed with whatever yogurt you like) is going to be fine.  I usually take fairly equal parts of yogurt and cereal (usually GoLean Crunch honey/almond/flax) and maybe a few whole or chopped almonds, maybe even a little chopped banana, and mix it all up.  Delicious, filling snack (or breakfast)!
Lately I have been eating a serving of Weight Watchers Vanilla Yogurt with 1 cup of Kashi Go Lean Almond Crunch. The yogurt is actually fewer calories then milk, still has protien but also has fiber IIRC. Plus it tastes better and seems more filling.
My boyf hates milk and always has cereal with yogurt.
I usually top my oats with it, but I guess its all to your own taste
Ugh just reading this is making me want some...=\

I LOVE cereal and yogurt!
Ok, I'm eating at the moment and it taste like heaven!

What I had in it:

1 serving and a half of All-Bran Strawberry Bites
1 serving and a half of All-Bran Original
200g of yogourt Source Straberry Custard (35 calories for 100g)
150g of homemade applesauce (just apple and water, nothing added)
Cinnamon

HEAVEN!!!!!! And 100% recommended fiber for the day..... I need water :P
It's almost noon and I'm not hungry! I ate it at 7:30am. So filling I'm telling you, I'll eat this everymorning, wow!! I calculate everything and it's a 540 calories so it's pretty high but since I don't snack between breakfast and lunch ebcause I'm not hungry, everything will be ok. It gives me 330 calories for lunch and another 330 for dinner. It's more than enough.

I have so much energy at the moment, I can't contain myself!! I get up everytime I can at work, I go to the bathroom and do my mini-exercises!! I haven't felt like this in a long time!

Thanks for telling me to try it!! I appreciate it :)
I don't like milk and I do like yogurt. So I have been eating yogurt with cereal for years, typically hot oatmeal and plain yogurt, but sometimes various dry cereals with yogurt.

I have Special K with Muller Light Yoghurt every single day, twice a day. Much more filling, much more satisfying and tastes yummy! I wouldn't go back to having my cereal with Milk for anybody!!

Looks strange at first but it really is satisfying!!

I always eat cereal with yogurt. I tend to buy the less sugary cereals (otherwise I binge on them) and the fruit yogurt I use adds just the amount of sweetness I like.

I usually have fiber one w/ fruit yogurt... and the chunks of fruit is definitely a bonus! :)

And btw i LOVE those strawberry bites..... but I have finished an entire box in less than a day before (several times), so i can never buy them again :(

I eat muesli with yogurt whenever I know I'm not going to eat for awhile....delicious!

Oh My I cannot live without it anymore and it's been only 2 days!! It taste so much better then milk and so much more filling too. Also I use dessert yogourt such as chocolate fondue or lemon meringue or cranberry crustard for only 35 calories for 100g. It taste amazing!!!!

I don't know what kind of cereal I have in the house, but I just bought some yogurt. I'm trying something like this tomorrow morning.

Edit December 7: I had yogurt and cereal this morning and it was excellent! I've never thought about it before. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi again!

I tried something else. I put hot water in oatmeal, just enough so the oatmeal cook (instant oatmeal). When the oatmeal is cook enough I add yogourt and All-Bran Original. It was so good!!! I tried the same but switch the ALll-Bran with Appleasauce (1/2 cup). Was rich and tasted awesome :P

I'm now doing lots of mixes of cereal with the yogourt and everything taste great and it's filling enough but at the same time, still low calorie breakfast.
