The morning after my first step class......

and my legs are killing me!

It was the first time I've ever done step and I think I've loved it........... or hated it........... or I might have loved it............ or hated it............ I'm not sure.

Was definitely good fun though and I'm glad I went.  May even go back next Monday.

Anyone do step on a regular basis?  How do you find it?

I've been doing a Tue/ thur step class at the comm college for a couple years now- it is truly a love hate thing still.  Obviously I love it cause I keep going back for more or maybe I'm a masochist so I keep going back.

My instructor mixes it up a lot and it seems even though I've been doing it forever I still come home to find some muscle she found that I hadn't felt in awhile.

I go to one or two step classes each week depending on what I can fit in...and I love it!

The first class is definately the most painful...even if you just go once a week it will get easier for your legs!  Good for you for trying it.... It is easy to get hooked!

I've done it twice a week for a little while now.  I love it!  I tried to do it everyday for a few days...that didn't work out so well.  :D  Go a few more times and then see if its for you.

It will get easier...trust me. I used to take and/or teach step aerobics for several years. It is really good for fat burning, balance and coordination. Try taking the class 2 times per week and do a little light stretching and walk and maybe take an antiinflammatory like Ibuprofin after class and the next morning after to help with the muscle soreness.  Don't give up though. ;)

I am in lOVE with step.  It is my absolute favorite cardio.  I used to teach in college, now I do workout DVDs with my own step at home!

Love it!  Great workout too, along with being extremely modifiable, anyone from beginners to advanced can do it.

If your calves are hurting a lot, make sure you're stepping up properly. There actually is a proper way to walk up and down stairs! Ask your instructor if your form is correct.

My legs are absolutely killing me today!  I couldn't finish my Samba lesson last night because I couldn't put any weight onto my toes!!

I hope it's easier next week!
