Morning sickness ALL DAY LONG

Quote  |  Reply

So I'm on my 3rd child and so far each time the morning sickness has hit me earlier in the pregnancy.  My first started around 12 wks, the second around 8 wks, and now the third hit me around 5.5 wks.  What's up with that!!!  This time around, I'm feeling nauseaus and wanting to vomit all the time.  And I've never really had much cravings before w/ the other 2, now I'm craving for fast food all the time.  I've never eaten passed 8pm before and now I'm hungry after 8pm.  I just don't understand...I know each pregnancy is different, but this one just isn't starting me on the right foot.  I'm wondering if it makes a difference of what sex you're having.  My first 2 are boys and now I'm not sure if I'm having another boy or is this crazy hormones due to a girl??  Well I'm not finding out for another 7 months when he/she is born.

Anyone else feeling crappy all the time?

You sound exactly like ME! I felt crappy until about 20 weeks, but it was tapering at 16 weeks. I too had the fast food cravings. I take Diclectin (only available in Canada - I think) and unfortunately gave into the fast food. I am now 24 weeks, and gained 35 pounds. I thought the nausea and vomitting would keep the weight off, but I guess eating burgers and fries overcame that. I'm now able to eat better, although I am now ravenous all the time.

Hang in there. TRY to eat healthy. We don't know the sex either, so I can't predict if your cravings/sickness is gender specific... Good Luck!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one going through this.  With the last 2 pregnancies, I gained almost 30 lbs so it wasn't too bad.  But then again, I didn't have those fast food cravings or 8pm hunger.   But yes, those calories that you don't vomit is starting to add up on top of the growing baby.  Morning sickness was from 12 wks all the way to 6 mos. and the 2nd was from 8 wks thru 4-5 mos.  So I'm hoping this will end by 4 mos.

But yes, thanks for the luck...I need it!  I do try to eat healthy as much as possible, but it's those 8pm hunger that makes me want McD fries and nuggets!  I made my husband go out to get it for me the other night.  And I told him that if I keep it up, I'm gonna gain like 60 lbs.  So I need to definitely control myself.  I even just lost 10 lbs in the last 6 months and have been feeling great in my clothes...and it will all just go down the drain in another couple of weeks/months.  Oh well...it was great while it lasted LOL!

With my first one I was nauseous and required Zofran to control the vomiting from week 7 until I delivered.  I managed to gain 70+ lbs though...With this one I was sick from about 5 weeks until it started tapering off about week 18 (about a month ago).  I still have bad days but I try to follow a few rules to prevent it.   No milk at breakfast, peanut butter toast and a little bit of juice in the morning seems to help over the whole day.  I have to make sure I get enough sleep and try to take it easy at least every third day.  I really feel for you, I know how terrible it is to feel like you can't get up off the couch to do anything without feeling like you're going to lose your lunch.
