Most filling low-cal snack?

Quote  |  Reply
What's your favourite/most filling snack?
Right now, for me, I'm really loving rice cakes.  They're between 40-60 cals, and are covered in chocolate or salt or other yummy snacky stuff.

Lately I've found myself making lots of fruit smoothies.  They can be very filling, and pretty low-cal.  I'm eating one now =)  I just put half a cup of milk (40), a dannon light n fit yogurt (60), and 2/3 cup strawberries (50), some vanilla and cinnamon, then you can add a ton of ice to make more and make it more filling!  It's really good!
Fruit smoothies!
I get mine from Sonic (small = 200 cals and it fills me up) 'cause I'm too lazy to make my own. :D
I'm drinking one right now...

<.<
baby carrots fill me up alot, and oatmeal.

Puffed rice cereal (60 cals/cup)
Air popped popcorn (20 cals/cup)
(Nori) Seaweed (10 cals/sheet) Not really that filling but a really good snack!

Cabbage Soup (I don't know the calorie contant but it's just broth and cabbage so it has to be pretty low. And warm foods are a lot more filling than cold foods.)

well, when i say filling, i mean it--this is filling!! (at least for me, it is ^-^ lol)

hunt's 90 cal snack pack puddings (gotta love caramel and chocolate!! they're fat free too.)

when i get one, i get my choco fix (not that often though) and ONE serving (1 pudding cup) is like,  a looooooot!!

it's better when it's eaten with something else, i guess. what i do is split it in half-- i eat half the cup (eating the whole makes me bloat, it's too much for me) and dip some of the 100cal nabisco chips ahoy or oreo packs in it. believe me, it's so filling.

depending on how much of the pudding you're using, it could well be from 145-190 cals. not that low i guess, but for a snack, it's okay. just dont eat it everyday. great for that sweet tooth fix, too.

i also second the beloved air-popped popcorn. i dont eat a lot of it (which means lower cals) becaus, either:

1. it's filling; or

2. my jaws get tired from chewing it (then i stop eating and i cant eat anything more even if i want to. lol) ^-^

i also love fruits. i think theyre the healthiest of all ive gotta say. apples are sweet and crisp and yummy. 110 cals for large ones. oranges too, around 50 to 60+ cals depending on how big they are. bananas about 70 to 100, and grapes!! 2cals each. that's a saver. well even if theyre mostly a hundred or so calories, theyre really filling. if youre going for real low cal, try veggies. they work. a serving of chop suey with bits of pork is only around 30 cals. imagine. i love it, my favorite veggie dish. (it's asian of course, i come from asia) (=

fruit smoothies, too. i agree on that.

One of the best things you can eat is tomatoes, dice them up and put a little salt on them.  Salsa is also awesome.
