If I go by what is usually readily available in terms of stalls at my local farmer’s market: baby new potatoes, tomatoes, basil, thyme, onion, and a good piece of white fish. The tomatoes, thyme, onion and basil make an excellent sauce with some olive oil mixed in, the cod and potatoes go in the sauce. Quick and easy!

3 least favourite foods: Skin, celery, and parsnips. I would say “rabbit” but I’ve actually never eaten it - I just refuse to. Bad connotations.

What food(s) do you like to eat when sick? Anything comforting and warming. Oatmeal, stews, tomatoes on toast, hah.

Any food from your past that you used to love but can't even think of eating now? Loaded potato skins.

Do you own a Kitchen Aid mixer? No. I don’t know what that is.

Can you bake? Yes.

Which is better, sweet salty or sour? Sour.

Do you like to fondue? No.

What is the most creative dish you have created? Probably one of those savoury oatmeal dishes. I did think my sunny side up oats were good (fried egg with the yolk runny atop a bowl of spiced oatmeal) but they don’t seem such a novelty after talking with other users, hah. Very tasty, by the way.

Favourite candy? High quality dark chocolate or liquorice.

When is the last time you cleaned out the fridge? Regularly. My household buys fresh produce every couple of days.

Favourite ice cream? Banana, or rum and raisin. Of ice cream I can eat, I tried Tofutti Strawberry recently and that was alright.

Are you good at sticking to your calorie intake with out going over? I don’t have an “over”, so I’ll take this the other way - I’m pretty good at keeping to my minimum or higher, yes.

Favourite salad dressing? Straight up olive oil.

What does peanut butter go best with? Soba noodles.

Do you burn food a lot? Only when I have a craving for that slight charred edge.

Least favourite thing to cook? Omelettes. I love them but God, they annoy me to make.

What do you get at McDonalds? It depends on the time of day and what I fancy. I don’t really go enough to care, though.

Favourite type of cuisine? Asian, as you may have noticed. Chinese, Japanese, Thai… I’m also big on Moroccan and traditional British cuisine.

Juice of choice? I’m not a huge fan of juice, but it’s usually just orange if I have it.

Are you currently hungry? No. I’m eating that Nak'd bar.

Do you remember that square candy bar called "Chunky"? No, probably because it was American.

Favourite brand of peanut butter? Whole Earth.

What was your least favourite food as a kid? Celery. Some things don’t change.

3 least favorite foods: Eggplant.  Fungusy mushrooms.  White bread.

What game-ish meats have you had? Venison in my omnivore days.

What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten? Fried milk.

What did you eat for breakfast today? Kashi Go Lean Crunch with almond milk, some yogurt and a banana.

How do you like your eggs?  Scrambled, but my appetite for eggs is very iffy, mostly they kind of gross me out.

What kinds of food can you have delivered in your area?  I suppose a lot, but I've never tried other than pizza.

Have you ever gone on a diet that worked?  Which one? I've lost a lot of weight but it wasn't a named "diet".

What is your favorite dessert?  Either my mom's chocolate chip cookies or my Mom's from scratch chocolate cake.  OMG.

Ever swallowed anything whole? I guess not, I don't have any traumatic memories around this.

Would you ever raise your children vegetarian? My son is not a vegetarian.  We ate vegetarian at home, but when we went out, he could have whatever he wanted, which was often meat.

Do you like deep fried foods? Oh I suppose once in a while.

Worst food you have ever eaten? I had this soup once in a Vietnamese restaurant that had these tofu squiggles in them that looked just like worms.  I could not eat it.

Any new dishes you'd like to learn to make this year? I made a new recipe for a cucumber salad last night that was pretty darn good.  I try new stuff a lot.
