Most satisfying food

What is one of your most satisfying foods that you have or make that can actual turn off the hungry beast?

I have made a breakfast egg mcmuffin that is pretty filling and keeps me full longer than cereal.  I use high fiber 100 call muffin toasted and the spread light cream cheese on both sides and top w/a serving of egg beaters seasoned with bacon salt and pepper.  Only 160 calories it keeps my hunger beast quiet for ALOT longer than Cherrios or Rice Chex or Yougurt w/fruit.

When I'm really hungry at breakfast I like to have weetabix or oatibix mashed up and microwaved with milk 'porridge style', and a big spoon of peanut butter stirred in. Then top with sliced banana. It's really sticky and stodgy and satisfying!

Also, peanut butter sandwich with a glass of milk for breaky is filling

I also like homemade veggie soups with beans ect in them, you can eat loads of it when you're hungry and they are healthy as anything! (I like it with cheese on toast coz I need the calories, but you could just have loads of the soup and some grated cheese on top or something)

I agree with the veggie soup with beans--very healthy and low calorie.

I like to start some days off with 6 egg whites, 1/2 cup of nonfat Kraft shredded cheese, 2 tbs. bacon bits, cooked in extra virgin olive oil.  350 calories and 58 grams of protein.  This is a filling meal and gets my metabolic engine revved up for all day.

I love peanut butter. I spread reduced fat PB (I like chunky) on celery or an apple rather than on bread.

Oatmeal is always filling for me. Also, I like cereal mixed in with some yogurt and blueberries so you get a good combo of carbs, protein, and fruit.

I make oatmeal in the microwave with banana and cinnamon.  I slice the banana into the oatmeal and water with a shake of cinnamon and then proceed to microwave it.  I mash the bananas in when I stir it up.  It's chunky and sweet and filling.

Higher fiber cereals (wheaties, raisin bran, mini wheats) and milk with sliced fruit on top usually fills me from breakfast til lunch.

I like a meal I created and dubbed "Ricemeatcheese".  Brown rice (1.5-2 serving sizes worth) with a slice of cheddar and little bits of meat (traditionally a cut up hot dog) nuked in the microwave.  Stir it up and you've got a good combo of fiber, fat and protein to fill you up.

A big hunk of protein does wonders for me!!! :) Oh and mixed with a little fat = I am good for more than 6 hours!!

Example: One Whole Egg Mixed with Jarred Tuna Packed in Olive Oil!

Just an egg does it for me. Or a fried egg on a piece of toast.

I can eat cereal like no one else- a family sized, 16 c. box of it with a gallon of milk and a cup of fruit for every cup of cereal, no kidding. In one sitting!!! (Granted, it takes a while to eat, but...) I end up STUFFED with a stomachache but not satisfied.

One egg is satisfying. So weird.
