[edit: some excellent workout songs may show up, but this list isn't meant to make you sweat. just some fun, perky songs to make you smile on a tough day. ]

You could call this an 'experiment' on my part; I know everyone has their own songs that make them feel good. If this gets a decent response, I'll leave my above playlist up for everyone to enjoy when they need a little 'pick-me-up.'

Ideally, I would like to get rid of all the songs on here that aren't purely 'feel good' songs. I don't want anything primarily about love or relationships; just songs like Don't Stop Me Now (Queen), No One Lives Forever (Boingo), or If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out (Cat Stevens).

Suggestions are welcomed (both on what to include and what to remove), but the idea is that I'd like to create something for people who need a little positive encouragement.

I like that list!

If it were mine, I'd add Unwritten by Natasha Beddingfield and With My Own Two Hands off the Curious George soundtrack.

Maybe Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens

I wish I had speakers on this computer...
Will need to check out finetune.com later! :D
I may be a nerd, but I love "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" by Michael Jackson and "Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks.
eeeh, not my kind of music.

Then again, I have to listen to that stuff aaaalll day in the women's workout facility I work at...
So what IS your sort of music, Renata?
I can double post. Yes I can :p
I couldn't access your list as it's restricted at work, but here are my choices for songs that make me move:

World, Hold On by Bob Sinclair is so embarrassing to have on my MP3 player but it really gets me going! It's the beat that does it for me.

Someone mentioned Don't Stop by Michael Jackson. I have to add Billie Jean to that and The Way You Make Me Feel (especially if you remember the dance sequence to this in Center Stage!) as well.

Toxic and My Prerogative by Miss Britney, as well as Let's get Retarded by BEP.

To get me going emotionally:

Barracuda, Magic Man and Heartless by Heart.

So many others I can't think of right now...
Jamie, I've got all those songs except for the Bob Sinclair on my cardio playlist! :D
jayd you've GOT to add it! It's the best work out song!
Haha - Shakti, that playlist isn't what I'd consider 'my kind of music,' either. But I wanted to create something positive, upbeat and friendly - most people wouldn't pick out the kind of music that makes them feel chipper as their 'favorite,' I think.

"My kind of music" is better represented on this playlist.

I'll try to look up and add suggested songs over the weekend. It's just something for fun, hopefully it can make some of you tap your toes and smile if you're having a down day.
alright jaime, i'm downloading it right now! :)
Yay for Radiohead and Yo yo Ma!

Yeah, I like that playlist a lot!
My exercise playlist is as follows:

Merhaba - "Fire Drums" (It's sufi)

DJ Rap: "Good to be Alive"

Marc Anthony: "Ahora Quien?" (salsa)

Missy Elliott: "Lose Control"

Brittany Murphy: "Faster Kill Pussycat"

Nine Inch Nails: "Closer"

Bustah Rhymes: "Gimme Some More"

Ani Difranco: "Lost Woman Song"

Led Zeppelin: "Misty Mountain Hop"
Ahh... Closer. SUCH A GOOD SONG.

Jaime, I download World, Hold On! It's not my usual style, but I can see how it would be excellent for working out! Thanks! :D
There was a song that was super popular when I was in South America 1 1/2 ago called Gasolina by Daddy Yankee
I don't speak spanish, so I don't understand the lyrics but a "pumping" song!
I normally listen to the faster Blue October songs and the Panic! at the Disco CD....just about every song (if not every one) is very fast paced...good times.
haha even if you did understand the literal words, it's kinda slang...great song though...a little over played, but great nonetheless. I'm sick of all the recycled reggaton crap that keeps coming out that sounds like it's trying to be the original Gasolina song. It's old already!
I LOVE Gasolina by Daddy Yankee, i heard it last year when I lived in Italy.  The words at the starting say: "turn up the Mambo [music] so my cats [girls] can get their motors running" in Spanish its: "Subele mambo porque mis gatas prendes los motores" (or something like that, bad spelling I know) and it repeats that as few times.. the rest is basically about getting fired up.

The english equivalent would be Nelly's "Hott in herr."  Which is also a good workout song... also N.E.R.D. "She wants to move" is fantastic!       ;       &n bsp;
Just thought of another one - Around the World by Daft Punk.

Jamie
Well, for *Feel Good and Smile* stuff (err, well whate else could I call it...hehe)

There's

Sometimes-My Bloody Valentine (not a very bloody song though)

Thirty Three/Beautiful-Smashing Pumpkins

U2...just like everything they have

Just Like Honey-Jesus and Mary Chain (No, this is not a religious ong, very far from it actually)

Too Young-Pheonix (nice beat, but I can admit this one's a little cheesy 80s)

Workout? I stick to Beck, Fat Boy Slim, MSI, then a few of those intense beat intrumentals by various bands...and then there's NIN's closer and deep once in a while.
