Hey I'm 19, 5ft 11 and 227.

Thought i'd make a place where  people over 200 pounds could meet and then maybe help each other with motivation and all that malarky. MSN buddy anyone?

Would be nice to get some encouragement hey.

I started dieting a week ago but had a major binge yesterday, so today is a new day and I'm starting from scratch. Grrrr. :-(

AND...it's raining.

I'm 22, 5'6, and 266.  :(

17, 6'2" and 229 (down from 255), They key is to stop snacking, eat in moderation (not undersized or oversized portions), and I only drink water anymore which cut out liquid calories from being consumed as well. No binge eatingYellLaughing. It take a lot of self control to live in a household with a ton of snack food lying around and to not touch it but I have done it and so can you.

You need to find for yourself why is it important that you lose weight. For me it was because I was once very fit and I can't do the things I used to be able to do although I'm still athletic. Though I still have a great social life and people like me I don't have the sex appeal I once had. I know there is Diebetes on one side of my family and heart disease on the other and I don't want to have either when I get older.

Identifying how you gained the weight will help you to.  Personally I gained my weight from binging and not being as active as I used to be and I drank a lot of soft drinks and such with a lot of calories while sitting on my butt all day. I learned you can gain 75 pounds very fast by living a bad lifestyle.

Hey there.

I'm 17, 5'6", and I'm at 185. I know, I'm not over 200. But I used to be. This time last summer, I was near 220. 217, I think. And I have MSN, so you know. I'd love to add you, if you want. :)

Hello, I'm 21 5'7 and 227 down from 240

I gained about 80 lbs since my freshman year of college. I started eating like crap (fast food, late night pizza, etc.) drinking pop and alcohol and I became way less active than I was in HS. I'm just now starting to kick my butt back into gear.
