Motivation?
Every says that in order to have a sucessful diet, you need to have a good reason to do so. You will need the right motivation in order to success.
My question is: What classifies something as the right motivation? What is your motivation?

My motivation is:
- I have a history of high blood pressure in my family. I'm nineteen years old, and went to the doctor a little while ago and they said I already have pretty high blood pressure and that I need to think about slimming down.
- I want to show those people that have doubts in me that I can do this and will succeed. "Success is the best revenge" is the quote that I live by.

I want to have a strong, healthy body FOREVER!
I want to know what I'm filling my body with and know that it is good for me.
I want to lower my cholesterol too, but I think that for me it's more gene related than food/exercise related :)
I don't have a family yet, but when I do, I want a healthy, active family that appreciates the habits that I have and want to pass along.

Motivation:
- Better health; longer life
- Being alive to watch the grandkids grow and become adults
- Being able to ENJOY life more
- SHOPPING! Being able to fit into normal size clothes
- Wearing my rings again (already accomplished this one)
There's a tension between how much I'm willing to sacrifice for simply losing weight for improving my physical appearance. I just want to get into that healthy range that I remember being in once upon a time; I'm not going to nitpick over this little flap of skin here and there when I get back to that place, however.
I think it's reaching out to people like all of you who keep me motivated... knowing that I'm not alone in the constant battle of perfection in this sick twisted world... I'm going for healthy not Hollywood sickly, I'm 5'10" with thick everything I'm just looking to tone and slim here and there, and I really think that websites like this with support from people is a great motivator!
1) Better health
2) To feel more comfident about myself
One thing I use to keep me motivated is to put a picture of myself at the size I am on the fridge to remind me that I don't want to be that way. It stops me reaching for the ice cream at least ![]()
Good luck with your journey, I hope you can keep motivated and reach your goals
