Motivation
What is driving you to lose the last 10lb? Why aren't you satisfied with where you are at now?
Share -- maybe the rest of us can draw from your motivations and experience
To start I really got until this when I got seperated in May. Being a single mom of two kids is not easy & plus being alone. Unhappy with the way I looked. My self esteem was all the way to the floor. My weight never really bother me b/c my significant other liked me the way I was. But now that I am single, overweight with low self esteem. I had to do something about it. Besides that it is a nice time to release stress heading to the gym afterwork. I got really motivated to join the gym & join all the classes they have. They are really fun. Also when I came back to work after I had my 2nd child. Some friends at work started the biggest loser contest for 6 weeks. So i joined in. In 6-weeks I lost 20 lbs. I loved the complimants everyone is giving me. That even motivated me to keep going. So now that I am down 28 lbs, I think I can really reach my goal of 150 lbs. For now my next GW 175 before/Halloween. Yeppieeeeeeeeee!
HW: 254 (before I got Pregnant)
After I had the baby: 221 (May '08)
CW: 193 (today is weight in I havent weight myself yet soo hopefully that # is less)
GW: 175 (By Halloween)
Next GW: 165 (By Christmas)
I was at my goal weight, ~125, a few years ago. I'd been ~25 lbs higher than that most of my adult life. I REALLY liked being at that weight: it felt better, dressing was easy & fun, people treated me better.
I am at a healthy weight now, I know that, so it's not wrong to say that I want to lose the rest for vanity.
I like to keep a chart with my progress; visual representation really helpshave a better idea of how your efforts have payed off. I also have a meter thing which goes from 64 kilos at the bottom to 54 kilos at the top, when i reac a certain weight i colour up to that number... it seems childish but it really helps keep on track! plus it makes you feel good as you climb up the chart ![]()
also i keep a pair of jeans i really want to fit into hung up on the door, so everytime I see it it reminds me of my goal!

OKAY OKAY OKAY! Help me please. I want to binge/well, splruge one day a week, that's tonight saturday. I had a couple drinks, and ate WAY to many carbs/fat/grossness. Is it fine for one day? Will that screw up my whole week? Maybe I can not eat this whole week? Oh god! *Panic panic* please help me, I feel like Im getting fat as we speak, sounds so ABSURD ( ! ) but I need to know that this night won't screw everything up.
I'm on fiber diet, fiber supplements, I don't snack and strength train EVERYDAY, situps/pushups/75 min walk/10 min. jog ( 6.5) everyday! EVERYDAY! Why am I NOT losing weight?? Maybe this is good experience for you all.
Motivation?? Looking super hot/super slim/super fit/lean for my man. Thats my ONLY motivation, how sad hey?? Oh god, I wanna be sexy, why is this not working.
I don't know where else to turn to. Can someone here help me, Mary won't be able to help with something this strict I'm sure ( hahaha) , Oh god. I ate way to much. Maybe it's journal time.
