Does anyone have a good play list for like motivational music to keep me going on the treadmill and/or bike?  Seriously I have been going to the gym like once a week and it's just ridonculous! 

I mean I feel like I have lost my motivation and could care less about the gym!  Whereas when I first started the gym I went no less than 3x a week and no more than 5x a week.......Anyone "hit a wall"?  And what did you do about it?

Yes I have, I seem to have a hard time running either 3 days in a row or 4. I have no idea what to do to combat it :(

i know right it's just sick....it's like I used to look forward to going to the gym and I was up to running like 5 miles 3x a day it was a great program for me and I saw results but I was committed!  Now I'm just like yeah I'll go....then I get there and it's like I'm just over it.  I started riding my bike too to kind of mix it up so that's pretty fun but I need more motivation to stay with it.

Is the challenge gone? Maybe it's time to challenge yourself to something harder - a gym triathlon maybe (10 minutes on the bike, 15 on the rower, 20 on the stairmaster)?

for a month straight (july) i was eating right and exerscising every day (at the very least one 10 minute trainer dvd).  i lost 6lbs! then life more or less got in the way,  i got a boyfriend, spent my time with him instead of working out, i managed to gain back the 6lbs over july and august. since schools started i've been able to get to the gym that we have here. though its only once a week, its better then nothing,  i still have to force myself to go because i dont particularly like working out.  
as for music, i usually stick on some Rock/Metal,  nice beats, loud,  and if i really like the song then i'm not paying attention to the fact that i have ATLEAST another 20 minutes left on the machine that seems to crawl by.

I have no idea I just need to mix it up a bit I guess.  But I also need to commit.  I am actually faithfully inputting my calories and trying to make a concious effort to eat better.  I dont' eat meat but I do eat seafood so that is a type of meat.  I used to be super skinny in high school however I ran 5 miles a day and lifted too so that helped. 

but now it's just like i know i need to step it up I just don't want to.  that's just sick to me like i haven't given up I'd just rather not go to the gym.  JEEZE Man snap out of it!  that's what I feel like saying to myself.

The Rise Against song... it's kinda hard... and they scream a little bit. But it's really really motivational :)))

What kind of music do you like? I have a ton of songs that would work... but I need to know what you like to listen to, otherwise I might give you a list of pop songs when you really like punk :) haha

 

I made a selection of techno music, and try running/biking to the beat. It gets my heart rate up and it's fun to listen to.

I also have chosen a celebrity role model, someone who's healthy and thin and also has a great personality. I put her picture up on my mirror so I see it every time I look in the mirror. I know it's not great to compare myself to anyone, especially a celebrity, but it motivates me.

thanks xxheysarah!  I'd love to know what your actual list is I am looking for a list of songs that I can look up listen to and decide which ones I want to put on my ipod :) I have been down with a sinus infection this week but am going back tothey gym on Monday and I joined biggest loser at work :) Hopefully this will all help me still lose weight.

Hey megs890 I love everything!!!!  I love rap, hip-hop, alternative, industrial, heavy, techno i love it all!  I love T-pain's fast stuff, i love tool, Nine inch Nails, Rage Against The Machine, I actually ahve heard Rise Against i like what I've heard I like slipkot, everything from Ani Difranco to Sevendust, sevendust is my absolute favorite so i have alot of their stuff on my ipod.  I also like some country but they are not the best to have on your ipod. :)
