motivations for bingers.
yesterday was my seventh day in a row of not binging :)
i haven't been starving myself, abusing laxatives, or over-exercising either! if i can do it, you definetely can too!
I have been trying to talk myself out of eating the sweets and muffins at work all morning. You just gave me the motivation to stick with it. Thanks!!!

smiles21: my whole eating disorder has honestly been really spontaneous. i woe up one morning, and decided i hated my body and started to restrict. then, one day around 8 months later i decided i wanted to eat again, and then eventually the binging began. and then a week ago i woke up and just... stopped.
i have a 30 lb weight-loss goal (binge weight) and i've already lost 7 lbs lol :)
eerica: congrats, really. doesn't life without bingeing feel so good? today is two months for me, and i can still remember the weeks where i could barely make it through 2 days without a binge. i'm so proud of you, you are such an inspiration to so many people on CC, including me!
Wow!! Thanks for the post. I have been so unhappy for the past month for I too have put on 30 pounds from binge eating. I restricted cals from oct 2006 to june 2008, and lost 30 pounds. Was a happy 115. Then i just started eating. going though drive thrus, downing pints of ice cream, cookies, anything i could get my hands on. I have wasted a lot of money and am so unhappy. But it is a new beginning and we can do it. I am on day 2 haha.

Well, I always binge way too often...cereal, peanut butter, whatever's in the house, you name it.
Today was going good so far, until I felt a sweet craving after dinner and TOTALLY loaded up on the peanut butter and crackers. Sigh, hoping tomorrow's going to be a better day :)
wow good job everyone... but what has helped you to stop? are you doing something to substitute when you feel like binging or just cold turkey? was it a mental thing? do tell... I'm not sure if I'm a binger or just an afternoon eater? i normally don't take in a lot during the day and as soon as i get off work it just seems like I'm a starving and nothing really fulfills my taste bud so i just keep eating...blah. help.

Ive struggled with bingeing for so long, and for the last 4 months, i havnt been passed a week without bingeing. Im currently on day 4. ![]()
What really helped me to last more than 2 days, was upping my calories!! I was eating 1200 calories a day, and even though I knew it was the minimum I was seeing results. Unfortunately I was restricting myself too much so that led to bingeing. The week i upped my calories to 1400, I lasted a week!!!!
When i feel like bingeing, i make some 100 cal popcorn! I can stuff it in my face and feels like im eating a lot!
