Movie Theatre Success

So, Friday night I went to the movies planning on eating a small popcorn (400 calories) as my dinner. My boyfriend whose metabolism must be on speed ordered a pepperoni pizza and cheese sticks! So there I was sitting eating my popcorn and drooling over his food. Well, I succumbed and ate a cheese stick AND a piece of his pizza (but I picked the pepperoni off). It was a small personal pizza, so the slice was tiny, but I'm sure both were drenched in calories. I didn't finish my popcorn, but still...I was dreading weighing in the morning.

For the longest time I have been bouncing between 115 and 116. I managed to make it down to 114.8 for one day, but I went right back up. I made myself weigh (not weighing was how I gained my weight back in the first place). So I weighed. I was 114.4!!! Yea!!! And today I was 113.8!!! Double yea!! Finally my weight loss has returned!!

I'm still in shock that I lost weight after what I ate in the movie theatre....amazing.

Way to go!  And Congrats =)  Guess this just shows sticking to things, even with a cheat day, you Can lose.  Glad you got a surprise on the scale and not the dreaded weight going back up!

I wonder if the added calories just one day caused a boost in your metabolism? I have seen posts about that on the main forum, how if you stick to your plan really well in general but screw up and go a few hundred over one day it will give the metabolism a boost.

I don't know. I would think that it would boost your metabolism in the long run but you wouldn't see any results the next day. I definitely expected to be up. I don't know how it happened but I sure was happy to see the scale the next morning!!
