going to the movies
I found something that worked for me last night at the movies. We bought a big tub and my husband grabbed some of the small complimentary cups( I figured they held 1/2 cup) I used one of the cups for my popcorn and ate 3 of those and that was it! I did count out a serving of reese pieces and a serving of whoppers. So my trip to the movies cost me about 400 cals. but for those that know, it was a bad day yesterday. When I got home and entered my calories I was at 1130 for the day! I actually didnt gain either so thats great! So try the next time you go, dont get a bag for yourself because you will eat it all. see if they have the small complimentary cups and scoop your popcorn from whatever the other person has. I will say my 2 year old had 6 of those cups of popcorn!

Awe, congrats on doing such a good job :D... I keep seem to bring myself to go to the movies any more- too many teenyboopers talking on their cell phones or talking and stuff... drives me up a wall lol
Good idea slappyon the popcorn. Congratulations also on your calorie count. I dont know about your day yesterday but you are in my thoughts. Have a great day today. Your pal Lurleen
thanks guys! I know I should have resisted but sometimes you have to give alittle!
I love going to the movies, and the concession is definatly my downfall. Thanks for the tip!
When i go to the movies i get the kiddie combo option. Its a small amount of popcorn (approx. 2 cups - maybe a tad more), a small candy (which i give to my bf), and a drink. I usually get some help on the so i figure i eat 2 cups just to be on the safe side.
My hubby and I went out to the movies for the first time in six months on Saturday! I took all week to plan it out...
We went out to eat at Boston Market (the only fast food place I will eat from) and I had turkey and green beans (280 cal) and then I went to the movies, I snuck in (shhh! don't tell anyone) lite popcorn (vic's gourmet popcorn-mmm!) I brought 6 cups (210 cal) and a small bottle of water (usher's didn't notice because my jacket is big on me now that I lost 31lbs!) and I had a perfect time and did not feel at all deprived!!
Can't wait to do that again!
