MP3 downloads for HIIT?

Quote  |  Reply
Does anyone know of any MP3 downloads that would "coach" high intensity interval training? Instead of watching the clock, I would prefer to have an audio cue to change intensity!

Haha. Techno works best for me :).

Rush's "Temples of Syrinx" does it for me ever time.

If you have itunes..they have some awesome podcasts for working out, and weight loss tips, or try going to www.fitmusic.com ortry downloading Dj Steve Boyett, it makes your work out soo much better!

This guy made a custom running mix for me, and  a custom HIIT mix!  They're awesome! He creates your personal mix and then emails it right to you to download for your MP3 player!

For the HIIT mix, I just gave him a list of songs that I like, told him how long I warm-up/cool down for, and how long I wanted my intervals to be...and he made an awesome mix!

It even has personalized voice-overs: "Good Morning Savannah" "10 minutes left to go!" " Great workout"!  Kind of cheesy, but very fun and movitvating!

had the same problem and solved it myself.  Just go to afterdawn.com and download the freeware called mp3directcut and make your own music clips from your favourite music.  Upside is that the clips are as long or as short as you deem is needed for you level of fitness.

If you have itunes, I suggest typing in Nike treadmill for a search.  They have a hills workout that lasts for 30 minutes and is AWESOME for HIIT.  I didn't realize that is what it way until i discovered these forums.

It's like a coach in your head.  It's set to music and tells you what to set the tread incline to and when to up your speed/slow it down, all in all  you do 6, 1 minute hills......it's definitely worth the money for the download.

The Couch to 5k tracks are all something like 30 minutes of music + cues of when to walk and run (depending on the week the timing is different for each interval). Obviously you would be doing your own workout though! There is a link to the tracks on C25K website.
