Muffins from cafes...determing calories?
I'll be going to brunch tomorrow morning and have been very much craving muffins recently. I have no problems making accomodations in my 1600 daily calorie amount to accomodate a HUGH-JAS muffin, just as a treat. My only issue is HOW on earth am I going to figure out the nutritional info?
The only calorie counts I found on here were for commercially prepared Corn and Blueberry muffins...the cafe we're going to is vegan/veg (if that makes a different) and what if I want, say, a banana muffin or something?
I don't wanna whip out my scale and look like a doofus infront of people...anyone have a suggestion as to how to count this muffin?
I use calorie counts for similar commercially prepared muffins like Starbucks. I usually estimate a muffin from a cafe to be at least 400 calories or more, depending on what kind it is.
For example, I love Whole Foods glorious morning muffins and they are similar to this:

Have fun!~
Then there are Costco Muffins which are pretty big and clock in at around 800-900 Calories.
