Muscle mass,fat percent and weight!! i am confused
Hi friends..
I am weighing 128 pounds with 28% body fat now, two weeks ago it was 128 pounds with 30% body fat.
My instructor told me as long as body fat reduces,its gud!!
But I couldnt some how take this..as i dont understand how it functions and dont like being on the same 128 pound scale...
I"ve been running outdoors for last 3 months and for the past one month I am working out 5 times in a week , 3 days (strength training + cardio) and other 2 days 1 hr cardio..
Can you help me figure out this...I am trying for about 4-5 months to reduce,but not with much luck..

Bodies are made up of bone, skin, organs, muscle, fat and fluid. You can't usually change the size of your bones, skin and organs. Fluid goes up and down according to hydration levels. You can influence fat and muscle...
Muscle is a dense material (please no-one chip in with 'muscle weighs more than fat' or I'll have an effing embolism)..... and therefore it takes up less room than a less dense material like fat but weighs the same.
If you lose 1lb fat (body-fat % goes down) and gain 1lb muscle (muscle tissue % goes up) you will probably appear a little smaller, more toned but the scales will not change.

I had this issue a few months ago. I ran, I did weights, I took my measurements. I didn't lose any weight according to the scale, but my body fat was reduced.
Of course.... I got sloppy and gained it all back later. Go me!
