Muscle Water Weight?

Quote  |  Reply

This week I upped my exercise to 5 min more of high interval cardio and its been really rough, everything hurt.

But I've been weighting my self and I'm still that same as last week, could that be because of the new exercise damaging my muscle and now they're retaining water?

I am drinking lots of water.

yea prolly just water weigth.. for mr it normaly takes up to a week to dissapate.. the water weigth helps the muscles heal so atleast its a "good" weight to have

This is in conjunction to her question:

If your muscles are sore from working out, they're retaining a lot of water, right?

Well, if it takes a week, like you said, even if your muscles are no longer sore, could they still be retaining water a day or two later?
