I love listening to music when I exercise but my playlists suck..
any recommendations on motivating music/playlists?... or a site that has them?
i would recommend for you to listen some reggae music, preferbly dancehall
If you wish to doze off into not thinking you are exercising or if your doing some spinning or jogging then as jam mentioned, any reggae music is good. For a more pumping feeling (ie. doing weights) and anything fast paced I like to listen to the Arctic Monkeys.
Clare,
If you have iTunes, you can jump on there and hear 30-second snippets of songs without having to buy the tracks.
I'm a classical musician by training but I tend to go for the indie artists when exercising. Anything with a beat of between 120-160 (think footfalls; walking/running) is good for keeping you going!
Brother has some good tracks and some of the Putamayo CDs have a great mix of different artists. Sometimes showtunes are good because you might know the lyrics and that helps the time fly faster.
