Music to make love to your old lady by......
So what artists/songs/albums do you guys put on when trying to get in the mood? or get that someone in the mood? What do like having on in the back ground?
For me and the boyfriend... if someone puts on The Downward Spiral ( or most any other Nine Inch nails but that one is personal) It's ON :)
I will be back to list some more.... but that's a start....
Nah, don't listen to any......
NIN does it for me too, as well as Rammstein and for some reason, Monster Magnet's "Space Lord"...I think it has something to do with the pulse in the music. No idea, but sweet, squishy ballads never did it for me. o.O
Oh yes, Tool for sure.
And I'm with you there pure, no R&B for me during sexy time. definitely the dark, twisted metallish stuff at this house.
OK So don't get me wrong, I think Prince for example has some sexy music. I enjoy it and other stuff like that... but as far as actually like gettin my groove on to it, NO WAY. pffft my boyfriend would fall on the floor laughing. If I put on some Barry White or somethin and came towards him LOL
Passion by Peter Gabriel - an all time favorite.
Massive Attack is pretty good.
Tool is good if you are in a particularly energetic mood. That's like daytime sex for me. Some APC is good too. Just not that last album, too depressing.
I also like Queens of the Stone Age.
Things that will destroy my mood are rap, electronica, new-age and country.
If I'm gonna trip the light fantastic, I prefer speed-metal or punk ie: The Cult, Soundgarden, or how about AC/DC, and I want it loud, down & dirty.
Deftones, NIN, maybe some KORN
What, doesn't anybody listen to Air Supply or Barry Manilow anymore? :-)
=D
Barry White is my (not so secret) favourite - but it's just too funny and corny to play when getting it on.
Tool is high on the list (because it was playing to first time we were together), Chris Smither, anything bluesy and soulfull.
Plus I have a string of pink flamingo lights that are really dim, basically if they're on - it's on!
I haven't gotten playful to this one before... but "Drive"- Melissa Ferrick, that's one HOT song.
We do it quietly with the tv on in the dark whenever we arent' too tired to squeeze it in. The walls are thin and we don't want to wake up the kids or the baby! But...someday when we have our lives back a little bit more.....I like peter gabriel's in your eyes, rob zombie, and marvin gaye...let's get it on. I like type o negative and enya stuff too. It depends on my mood. Maybe I ought to send the kids to grandma's house for an overnight..............!

Same here. By the time the kids go to bed, it doesn't even occur to us to turn music on. On a dance floor during a rare date, yeah, a good grinding song will get us in the mood, but when we get home, we pause to make sure the kids are asleep, and skip picking out a CD.
Has anyone ever tried to do it to the sound of the whales besides me? OMG it is so sexy. I can also get really turned on my Native American music. Jazz instrumentals can be good too or some good blues instrumentals. Just about any kind of rock is OK too.
If it's country, it ain't happening. There is absolutely nothing sexy about country music. The old country can actually take me from a good mood to a bad mood. I hate that stuff.
I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon with a nod towards Tool, APC, Rob Zombie, Deftones, Monster Magnet, Opeth, NIN etc etc.
I'm not into all that lovey dovey music unless I'm using it for a little humor.
My boyfriend loves Tool so much, he named his dog Maynard. I thought that was funny. ![]()

I JUST discovered Massive Attack - I hadn't heard of them for some reason but my trainer would always play one of their songs at the end of the workout to cool down... and then I heard it on the TV show House so I looked it up. I have to check out some of their other stuff. And this has nothing to do with getting it on, unfortunately I'm not getting any right now!! lol
