So what artists/songs/albums do you guys put on when trying to get in the mood? or get that someone in the mood? What do like having on in the back ground?

For me and the boyfriend... if someone puts on The Downward Spiral ( or most any other Nine Inch nails but that one is personal) It's ON :)

I will be back to list some more.... but that's a start....

Wife likes Jim Brickman. It helps relax her and put her in the mood.

It's not my first choice, but then.. hey.. in the mood is in the mood ;)

oh I defenitely need some R&B but I do love Deftones,  tool or spanish rock .. and when its really on I pop out the bootie music lol regetton
rebepi, Opeth?  I didn't mention them before, but hell yes!
Tool and NIN are great because of the beat, I do have to agree even though I've never actually done it to them.  The only song I ever tried was Nick Cave's Red Right Hand which I thought was sexy but my ex never could get into it.

I still like that song. :)

Sarah McLachlans 90's music is really great. Frank Sinatra and Coldplay are both tied for second.

Lovage... From the CD that is titled the same as this thread!

MmmmMMmmm Mike Patton

It's interesting how many ppl like to do it to NIN.  I used to really like NIN but the last album is kinda lame, in my humble opinion.  I was really turned off by his commercialism of activism.  It was as if he was thumbing his nose at activists by doing all those fake raid videos.  Really lame.  I was a fan from the Downward Spiral.  No more.  He lost me fo-sho!

Also, has anyone noticed how often Trent Reznor refers to himself in his songs?  I mean, the guy seems downright narcissistic!  "I, me, I , me, mine, my, memememe!"  So I guess he is putting his money where his mouth is!

'Scuse me!  Was that a belch?! I'm finished now.

cytokine - Mike Patton is hot.  My husband turned me onto him.  I never really cared much for Faith No More, but I like 'em a little better now.  Really like the Peeping Tom stuff.

Anything by John Philip Sousa .
The William Tell Overture is good too!
Lovage drips sex.

I like this Puscifer song too.

Oh, and Jimi Hendrix.

mmmm Mike Patton.

I'm more into the older NIN. I love the music of course, but the earlier albums hold the most meaning to me, one of the bands that remind me of being a kid....

Well with my BF, our first kiss happened right after he put on The Downward Spiral... and we kissed through the whole album, incredible to say the least. So when I hear that one, it brings back so many feelings and one of my favorite memories, so yeah that's one sexy record.

I personally like Trent, and I thought it was really cool that The Slip was released free of charge online as a gift to the fans. Also has made his music available in mutil track format so anyone can remix.. that's pretty damn cool IMO.

Oh!  And Manson's cover of I Put a Spell On You.

^^Trent does seem like a cool guy.  I wanna bake him a cake.

Yeah that puscifer song is a good one!

Thanks again jewel for telling me about Lovage... gotten bizzy to that a few times now.... uhhh thank you? I think lol heh

uhhh Jewels have you been peepin' around my house? lol

DEFINITELY, I put a spell on you....one of my favorite "mood" songs. It's just a good song man.

Ha ha!  You too?  And you're welcome about the Lovage (and the fun you've had with it, lol).

I think I'm going to make a sexy time cd.

Send me a copy.... I'm sure we would dig it... lol

At first I thought this thread was call "music to make love to your child by"

.....it was weird.

Once a guy I was with put on some Manu Chao and I found it incredibly sexy. I guess it just fit the moment. Usually though, silence.

I love everything except his Jap. Noise project: Malador.  He is a very sexy man!  Peeping Tom and Tomahawk are his two better recent projects.
